Along with Derek, Brianna ran into the hospital. She was freezing since she had given a dying Braeden her jacket but that didn't matter. Derek pushed the door open with his foot and all attention snapped towards them.
"She's been shot." Derek called out in explanation. "I think she's dying."
Luckily Melissa was at the desk so Brianna ushered her over. With help from Brianna, Derek placed Braeden onto one of the hospital beds so they could wheel her to a room comfortably. Derek watched in awe as the girl he classed as a daughter nowadays gave Melissa a status update on Braeden like a professional. It was crazy for him to see how much she had grown up and he hadn't realised it.
Under instructions from Melissa, Brianna connected Braeden to a drip that was going to keep her stable. After a few doctors came in to give her a few injections, Brianna was given the task of bandaging her wound. Along with Derek, she was the only person in the room with Braeden.
"When did this happen?" Derek asked.
Brianna didn't take her eyes off Braeden as she replied, "What do you mean?"
"You've grown up. Look at you, right now you are saving Braeden's life. I bet you do this everyday at work."
"It's my job." Brianna stated but she couldn't hide her happiness from his comment from Derek.
Gently, he grabbed Brianna's arm and turned her to face him. "You do not have to feel bad about what happened with the Nog-"
"Yes I do. Those people died because of me. The least I can do is save a few people in response."
"Allison and Aiden might not have lived as long as they did without you." Derek insisted but he let her turn back to Braeden.
Brianna sighed, "I don't want to talk about this." He didn't respond so she finished off bandaging Braeden before grabbing her bag off the floor. "Is it okay if I go home and get some rest? I have the PSATs tomorrow."
"Good luck." Derek stated. The blonde stopped at the door for a minute. With pursed lips Brianna walked back up to Derek and wrapped him into a hug. If anything happened while she was in the PSATs she needed him to know that she cared about him more than anybody.
And that he did.

New text message to Lyd AKA My Queen:
Hey, is it okay if I come down to your grandmothers lake house and use the quiet room for something?x
Brianna pressed send on the text message. She looked behind her so she could see that in the back seat of her car was a bunch of old photographs and notebooks. Then she turned further backwards to see Derek pacing outside of the hospital. Ever since they found Satomi's pack with Braeden he hasn't been able to think right.
New text message from Lyd AKA My Queen:
Of course. I needed a little break anyway. This whole dead pool thing is really stressing me out. xo
Brianna laughed half heartedly as she started up her engine.
New text message to Lyd AKA My Queen:
You and me both!x
Then she headed to the lake house to say goodbye to all those who she has lost. Or more specifically those who she probably could've saved.
It didn't take long for Brianna to get to the lake house, Beacon Hills is a very small town so it doesn't take you very long to get anywhere. One of its perks. One of it downfalls is everybody tries to kill each other at one point in their time of living there.
