Brianna woke up on a cold hard floor. It wasn't anything dramatic, it was like she'd woken up from a normal sleep. She remembered everything that had happened so waking up in a strange place was the least of her concerns. The girl pushed herself up from the floor, despite feeling quite weak, and examined her surroundings.

The boxed room resembled a jail cell without furniture. There was one window with a hatch that you could slide open to see out off and one window that had bars blocking anybody from escaping. Not like any normal person could escape through that. It was minuscule.

Taking a deep breath, Brianna strolled over to the wooden door, her bare feet sticking slightly to the floor with every step. For some reason she was wearing what resembled a hospital gown but thankfully it had a back so it wasn't showing her rear end. Her hair was also down and wavy instead of the ponytail she previously had it in.

She placed her fingers into the hatch and opened it. Nothing was visible except a plain and dim hallway. As soon as her hand left the wooden hatch the door creeped open. It took her by surprise and she sucked in a breath so she didn't scream.

Looking backwards she saw that the wall with the window seemed to be getting closer. If she didn't move she'd be squashed. So she moved. For a while she walked aimlessly down many hallways, avoiding the many dead ends that were placed as a distraction. In an attempt to not be cliché, Brianna didn't call out to see if anybody was there. She kept silent.

Eventually she reached another room, the first one she'd seen since the one she left. It had no handle so she pushed it open with one hand before walking inside. Once again it took all she had not to scream or gasp at the sight. Her dad was laying on the floor in a puddle of blood. As much as she knew that her dad was worthless and as much as she hated him, she felt compelled to help him.

The blonde attended to her father, ripping off pieces of his normal clothes and using them to bandage up his wounds. He seemed to have cuts all of him so Brianna took an educated guess and thought that he'd been attacked. She couldn't help but feel guilty and think that if she hadn't taken his powers maybe he would've been able to defend himself.

Though as soon as she lifted up his shirt to check for wounds around that area, all concerned thoughts vanished. Instead they were replaced with pure confusion. He had a large bruise in that area that spelt out a particular initial. SV.

"Sophie Voyant," a voice said as Brianna ran her hands over the bruise. As soon as the voice finished Brianna brought her head up so she could see who said it.

"Oh ... my ... God." Brianna mumbled. The person stood in front of her- it couldn't be real. It couldn't. The blonde stood up from kneeling over her father that she presumed to be dead. She couldn't take her eyes off the person in front of her. "Mom?"

"Hello Brianna." She smiled. "I've missed you so much." Immediately Brianna leaped over the body and tackled her mother into a hug. Despite the hug being very forceful and sudden, but full of love, the elder women didn't seem to even stumble backwards. It was weird.

Brianna suddenly lifted her head up to see her mother smiling down at her. As much as that sight would normally make Brianna grin, one didn't appear. "Am I- am I dead?"

"No, darling." Sophie replied, rubbing her daughters head lovingly. "You're as alive as him."

Brianna glanced behind her to see that her father's body and pool of blood had vanished. It seemed impossible but then again her dead mother was hugging her so it wasn't the strangest thing she'd ever seen. Sophie's grip on her daughter loosened but to make up for it she grabbed her daughters hand. The mother and daughter began walking out of the room into a blinding light, which Brianna used her spare arm to shield her eyes from.
