Chapter 1
I open my eyes and find myself in a white room.
Where the hell am I? How did I get here?
Oh it hurts so much between my legs. OW.
Now I remember.
"Lanie?" someone whispers and touches my arm.
I jerk and pull away my arm. I whimper in pain and of fear.
"Lanie?"
I turn my head slowly to the right side and see my brothers and baby sister.
"Lanie?" Christian says again.
"Hum".
"How ... how do you ..." he tries, but he's not the one with words exactly, so he doesn't know what to say.
I shake. I have my head on a soft pillow.
"It hurts", I whisper.
"I know Lanie", Christian says taking my hand, looking more sad then I've ever seen him.
"Lanie?" Blaine beeps.
I put my hand on top of his, but he pulls his and away, looking scared of me.
"Am I scary?" I ask.
"No..." he says looking down on his feet.
The door opens. Our babysitter comes in with a doctor.
"What happened?" she asks when Blaine throws himself onto her. "Christian called me, he sounded upset".
"Can you take the kids?" Christian asks. "Home, I'll explain later".
Sarah hasitates for a second.
"Okay then", she says.
Sarah takes Christina from Christian and they leave the room.
"What happened?" Christian asks as the door closes.
"Nothing", I say.
Nothing happened. If I deny it, maybe it didn't happen. I mean I was the only one there. Nothing happened. Nothing, nothing, nothing.
"Lane..." Christian start.
"Nothing happened", I say.
I don't like how my voice sound. It sound ... dead. Like all the life inside of me is gone and that I have no hope left.
"Just so you know, this is a doctor", Christian says, pointing at the woman in the white coat. "She told me what happened, they called me home and said to come here, I just wanted you to say it".
I look at Christian.
"You must be really happy", I say.
Christians eyes widen.
"Of course not, what are you saying?" he asks.
"You always told me that this would happen if I continued on like I did", I say. "You don't even like me".
"That was just to get you to understand that it didn't work", Christian said. "I never ever wanted this to happen, your my little sister, and of course I like you, why would I even take over custody over you otherwise?"
Well... I never thought of it that way. But it dosen't matter. Nothing happened.
"Nothing happened", I whisper.
It knocks on the door and a man comes inside.
"Who are you?" I whisper.
"Your brother called me, my name is Sebastian Rockingwood I'm an investigator working with sexual abuse", the man says.
"What are you trying to do to me?" I ask, looking at Christian. "I told you! Nothing happened!"
"Yes it did!" Christian says.
"Can I have a minute alone with her, please?" the investigator says.
Christian seems to hesitate for a moment, but then he nods. He follows the doctor out.
Mr. Rockingwood takes a chair and sits down beside my bed.
"Lane..." he says.
"Nothing happened!"
"Something did happen Lane", he says. "It's not uncommon to react as you do right now. To deny everything. Something really terrible has happen and you wish it never did".
Tears starts to flow down my cheeks.
"You've been exposed to something very horrible", Mr. Rockingwood continues. "I need to now, exactly what".
I close my eyes and try to remember.
I hear steps behind me.
I stop and look around. There's no one there. Hmm... that's creepy.
I start to shudder. Oh it's so dark out side. Maybe I should've walked with someone.
I start to walk again.
I walk behind I corner, and then someone drags me down to the grown.
"NOO!" I scream.
I can't see the face of the person. He has a scarf that covers the most of his face and he he wears a hoodie with the hood on his head.
He grabs my ankles and drags me. I start to cry.
"NOO WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" I scream.
He drags me into a alley.
He sists down on his knees and start to pull down my shorts and I know what's about to happen.
"NOO I DON'T WANT TO", I scream and cry violently. "NOO PLEASE STOP".
The man raises his hands and hits me in the head with something hard and everything goes black.
"I can't!" I say open my eyes.
I'm shaking like crazy.
"Shh, calm down", Mr Rockingwood says rubbing my arm.
I pull away my arm.
"I can't", I whisper.
"What did you remember?"
"I can't", I repeat
"Yes you can, and you need to", he says.
I take a deep breath and tell him what a remember. But it's not much.
"I will do everything in my power and more to find this person", Mr. Rockingwood says and stands up. "Right now you need to rest, so try to get some sleep and don't think about this".
How can I not?
