"I'm gonna die a virgin" Ashton groaned. He was on the phone to Erida after a date gone wrong. "No you're not. You're just going after the wrong people" said Erida wisely, painting her nails. "I'm on the way to your place." Ashton said, then ended the call.
Erida went down stairs and prepared the necessary 'date-gone-wrong' snacks and placed them around the coffee table and sat on the couch waiting for Ashton to barge into her living room, yelling about how terrible his date was and then sit on the couch in silence and groan then run his hands through his hair. Erida knew this would happen as that's all that's been happening for a week and a half. The project get Ashton laid wasn't going exactly to plan. Erida had been convinced it wouldn't be too hard but she had been proved very wrong. Ashton, handsome, charming and bubbly though he was, he had been rather closed off of late. Sure enough, the door opened and shut and Ashton's footsteps could be heard walking down the hall. "I can't do this!" He said agitated. He ran his hands over his face and through his hair. Erida patted the spot on the couch next to her and Ashton sat down. "Yes, ash, you can. You're just looking in the wrong places." Erida said soothingly, rubbing her hand up and down his back. Ashton was about to speak but Erida interrupted him. "Do you have a type?" She asked. Ashton looked confused for a second. "A what?" He asked. "A type. Like, for example I prefer drummers with green eyes and blonde hair and a nice smile and a great personality" Ashton shivered a little. "Umm, I don't know. I've never really thought much about it umm I guess I like brunettes, the light brown not the dark, umm blue eyes? They're pretty captivating hm I like guitarists... I like girls with an 'I-don't-give-a-shit-what-you-think' attitude, that's a turn on for me, umm freckles. Freckles are cute. And short. Short girls are adorable." He was talking about Erida. Subtly. Eridas cheek were a little pink as she thought this over. She continued to talk as though nothin happened. "I might be able to find someone who fits that description" she said, coughing awkwardly. "You can?" Ashton asked, turning his body towards her and moving closer at the same time. He put his hand next to hers, fingertips nearly touching. After two months of friendship they felt like they'd known each other forever. Erida looked down at their hands and her face turned pink again. "Yeah. I think so" it came out as a whisper. "Good" Ashton whispered back. Then he leaned in and kissed her.
