The bell rings as the door to the music store closes, leaving behind the rushing winds. A girl by the name of Erida walked inside, covering her arms and embracing the warmth the place gave her. She walked past flutes and guitar picks and ukuleles until she found what she was looking. A wall in the back of the shop covered with guitars. She set her eyes upon the black and white dan electro and waited until a worker could get it for her.
A buff young man came marching around the corner wearing a smile. "Something I can help with?" He asked. Erida smiled. "Yeah, thanks. I'm too short to reach so would you mind getting the black and white Dan Electro down?" He chuckled and reached upward to get the guitar down. He carefully placed the guitar in her hands and watched as she revelled in its beauty. Then she frowned. "How old are the strings?" She asked him. "Not sure. I think they came with the guitar." He replied. Erida hummed in response. "It'll need new ones. These are unreliable. Age tends to wear the strings down. Especially the metal strings" Erida looked up, finally looking him in the eyes. She froze. The eyes she looked up into were a beautiful golden green. Flecks of brown sprinkled around the pupil and a black circle covered the outline of the iris. He nodded and walked off, presumably to get guitar strings. Erida stood there, frozen to the spot, slightly dazed. She snapped out if it when she heard the man humming and he came around the corner with a few white paper bags. "So we've got a few different choices" he explained. "These ones are slightly more durable but the sound quality mightn't be the best." He said, pointing to one. Erida nodded to show she was listening. "And these are better suited to acoustic so we can put that aside. These ones here are probably you're best option" and he held up a bag that held the strings, curled as they were in the square bag. "Alright. How much all together?" The assistant bit his lip. "$980." Erida nodded. She had gotten the money from many gigs she played in local pubs and busking in the streets. They walked back to the front of the shop and Erida payed. "I never caught your-" the assistant started looking into her blue-grey eyes. "Erida" She smirked. She knew where this was going. He nodded. "Ashton" he said. This time, he smiled a real smile, a smile that put dimples in his cheeks. Erida squealed. Ashton's smile fell, confused. "What?" He asked. Erida pointed to his cheek and squeaked "dimples." Ashton laughed, indenting his dimples further, making Erida giggle uncontrollably. She leaned forward, quite spontaneously, and poked them. After their rather odd moment, in which a few silent customers gave them weird looks, Erida left carrying the receipt she found his name and number on and the guitar and it's strings. This was not the last time she visited the shop. Although the next time she did, it was to see the boy with curly hair, dimples and green eyes.
