Chapter 4: False Approach

[ 6:00 PM ]

Everyone was awake except Serina who just recently walked in the dining room with a book in her hand.

"Wayne you motherfucker. You didn't wake me up." Serina said.

"You were looking hilarous so i didn't mind." Wayne said. Serina just sat beside him and stole the donut Umi was eating.

"Hey! Get some for yourself!" Umi yelled. Serina just ignored her and ate the donut. Umi pouted and dranked her coffee.

"Serina-chan, come on... We're in front of some kind of upperclassmens so... Be more respectful." Kotori said.

"No, no. It's okay. We're used to it." Eli said.

"So you're saying everyone you meet disrespects you? Oh. How awful." Serina said. Wayne flicked the side of Serina's forehead and sighed.

"Will you keep your mouth shut this morning?" Wayne asked.

"Hai, hai." Serina said and also drank on the coffee Umi was drinking.

"Kotobuki!" Mr. Sonoda yelled. Serina didn't take her eyes off the book she was reading though.

"Yes?" Serina asked lately.

"You will be the leader of the team along with Liame." Mr. Sonoda said. Serina just responded with an '👌' sign.

"Hmph. Good." Mr. Sonoda said and walked away.

"Mou! Serina-chan!" Kotori whined.

"Mr. Sonoda, is no one to be respectful to. In my view." Serina said.

"He's just a simple mentor." Serina said.

"That's why! Even though he's just our mentor, we or rather YOU should respect him!" Maki yelled.

"*grunts* Looks who's talking. You do respect your second mentor, but do you respect your teammates and most importantly, upperclassmen?" Serina asked.

"There's no such thing as that! Why would i respect such a lone ass loser?!" Maki yelled.

"Maki-chan!" Nico scolded. Maki gritted her teeth and sat down while Serina just sat there, sipping Umi's coffee.

"I agree for you to be rude but not too rude!" Nico yelled. Maki just looked away.

'What a stubborn fool.' Nico thought and looked at Serina.

'She's totally calm...' Nico thought. Serina closed her book and looked at Umi.

"By the way, about the guy you saw last night, i--"

"SHHHHH!!" Umi yelled.

"What?" Serina yelled.

"Hm? What is it?" Nozomi asked.

"N-Nothing!" Umi yelled.

"There's a guy she said she saw last night that suddenly disappeared." Serina said.

"Possibly a vampire." Eli said.

"No shit sherlock." Serina said, making Umi tug on her sleeve.

"Stop saying that!" Umi yelled. Wayne just sighed and shooked his head.

"Serina, you just don't learn do you?" Wayne asked. Serina looked at the ceiling, it was dark. The others were seeing nothing.

"Wayne-san...? You're not... Trapping her right?" Rin asked.

"I'm sorry. I am. She needs to have some manners." Wayne said. Serina was hearing screams and scary laughs and she was seeing many murdered people and specially, her friends. Serina managed to break through Wayne's illusion and smiled idiotically.
