5. The Difference Between This and That.

Mermaids are known for their all-seeing eyes of everything in the past, present, and ultimately the future. Once, Peter went to the lagoon, got the attention of a mermaid that was particularly fond of him, and asked her a question.

“Will I ever love somebody?” He asked, “Will I ever fall in love? Like grown ups do?”

When the mermaid shook her head, it wasn't because Peter Pan wouldn't ever fall in love. It was because, since Peter was so immature and fun loving, he wouldn't ever fall in love like grown ups do.
