Ch.22

Monica's POV 

"Why doesn't she answer!"I said standing up from the table me and Alex usually sit by when we come to the mall. 

"Don't worry babe,"Rocky said. The words instantly soothing me enough to take a seat for the third time in the last 15 minutes.  

"She's fine,"he said stroking my back. I want to believe him but with Andrew around I have doubt especially after she punched him. 

"I don't,"I begin to say but never finished because Amanda began to walk toward us with Cristine next to her. 

"Hey Amanda!"I say happily knowing that if she's here Alex is with her,"where's Alex?"

"Alex?"she said her expression was clueless,"I didn't know she was coming to the mall."

"Then how did you get here?"I ask curious. She's only 10 years old so she can't be wandering around by herself. 

"Its called a bus Monica,"she said in an annoyed tone,"and plus the mall isn't that far away only like 10 blocks." 

"So then where the hell is Alex!"I say freaking out again. 

Rocky got up and grabbed my arm and said,"Lets go walk around."

I reluctantly began to walk with him leaving a worried Amanda behind. 

A smoothie later I was a bit more relaxed and heading back to meet with Ross again. He was joined by Ellington and who I guessed was Kelly. 

"Hey guys,"Rocky said nodding towards Ellington and Kelly. 

"Hi,"Kelly said getting up to give me a hug.

"Nice to finally meet you,"I say hugging her back. I smile and look at Ellington he looks so happy his eyes never leaving Kelly .

"Hey Ellington,"I say smirking because I caught him staring at her. 

"Sup,"he says raising an eyebrow.

"Have you heard from Alex?"I ask Ross. 

He shakes his head,"Have you?"

I slump on a chair and sigh,"How about you Amanda?"

"She took my phone away remember?"she said glaring at Ross.

"Right,"I say remembering when Alex gave Ross her phone. 

"Wait log into find my iPhone !"I tell her while handing her my phone. She logged in and handed it to me I clicked devices and found out that Alex's phone was in the parking close to the bakery shop.

"Thats weird it says its still in the parking lot we park in when we go to work,"I say confused. 

"Call Cathy your retard,"Amanda says. 

"Oh yeah huh?"I say. Smacking myself in the face for not thinking of it before. I call Cathy and hear the phone ring a couple of times. 

*Hello* 

"Hey Cathy"

*Oh hey Monica hows have you been* 

"Great um can I ask you a question?"

*Sure whats up* 

"Is Alex still at work?"

*No she left about an hour ago*

"Really?"

*Yeah I just closed the shop and am warming up my car her cars here though* 

"Really?"

*Yeah* there was a sudden pause *thats weird hold on* I hear the door of a car close and heels hitting cement I hear Cathy gasp causing me to fit stand up and ask.

"What?!"

*Alex!* I hear her say. I have no idea whats going on in the other end but I don't like the sound of it * Alex get up!* Cathys crying why would she be crying?!

"Cathy whats going on?!"I say scared to death. I feel as if my hearts found its way to my throat. 

*Alex* she said between sobs *shes* 

"She's what Cathy finish your sentence!" Everyones looking at me I bring a hand up to my cheek expecting the worst. I hadn't even noticed I was crying.Ross was to my left and Rocky to my right. If this wasn't such an intense moment I would consider myself lucky having two Lynch boys at my side. 

*she's bleeding* I hear say between sobs. Andrew. 

"Im on my way!"I say and start to walk. 

"Wait!"Ross says,"what happened,"worry all over his face. 

"Cathy found her bleeding next to her car,"I say crying. 

Ross's face went serious and pale. 

"Lets go,"he said for what seemed like forever.
