The Change In You: A Dramione Love Story

Chapter 5

Draco Pov.

It's been a week and Hermione still won't talk to me.

Recap over what's happened.

On Monday I gave her flowers, a box of chocolates, and a card with a poem saying how much I love her. She threw it all away.

On Tuesday, I sang to her (and trust me I never sing.) Made her a candlelit dessert, and asked her to dance. She just glared at me and walked straight to her room.

On Wednesday I gave her a necklace, made of real silver, a pair of matching earrings, and sterling silver bracelet, all of which were encrusted with diamonds. She threw them in her jewelry box and hasn't touched them since.

On Thursday I offered to walk her to class, carry her bag, and opened every door for her, but Potter always beat me to the punch.

Tonight I'm going to lock all the bedroom doors and ask her to dance. Then I'm gonna sing and tell her how much she means to me. I hope tonight goes well.

I don't know how much longer I can wait. She's still with Potter.

I'm getting ready for tonight when she comes running in crying.

"Hermione?" She just runs up the stairs and slams her door.

A moment later Potter comes running in.

"Have you seen Hermione?"

"Yeah she just walked in a second ago, crying. She ran straight to her room."

"Oh damn it, damn it, damn it." Potter says.

"What's going on Potter?"

"It's none of your concern Malfoy." And he walks out.

Hermione Pov.

I was walking though the hallway trying to find Harry.

I was thinking about all the things Draco had done for me this week

Maybe he really did care........

No Hermione WHAT are you thinking. She kept walking when she heard Harry's voice.

She couldn't decipher what he was saying so she walked closer.

"I only love you Ginny you know that. I'm gonna break up with Hermione. She doesn't mean anything to me. Your the one I've loved the whole time."

Then they start to kiss. I feel like I'm going to be sick. He was lying the whole time.

And I can't believe Ginny. I thought we were friends.

I lose my footing and stumble out from around the corner.

Harry and Ginny break apart.

"Hermione I......I can explain."

By now I've started crying. I hold my hand up. "Don't bother. I've heard enough."

I run away. I don't know exactly where to I just run. I can't bear to see his face.

I hear him run after me but I don't stop.

He's shouting my name but I ignore it.

I end up at my common room.

"Petr--ficus To--tal---us." I say in between sobs. Snape's portrait swings open and I run in.

"Hermione?" Draco ask. I ignore him.

I run up the stairs to my room and slam the door. I lock it and slide down sobbing.

I hear a couple of voices downstairs then everything is quiet.

It seems like hours before Draco comes in through the bathroom.

"Are you okay?" He ask. I just sob and shake my head.

He walks over picks me up and carries me to bed.

He lays down with me in his arms.

I don't push him away. I really needed the comfort. I sob into his chest as he rocks me and caresses my hair.

My eyes get droopy and soon the darkness overtakes me.

"Don't you get it Hermione? I have to do this. I have to protect you. I love you."

"I love you too Draco!"

"Obliviate."

I wake up screaming and sobbing.

Alright before you get mad at me let me explain.

I think Harry is a total sweetheart but him cheating on Hermione went with the plot of how she ends up falling for Draco.

You shall see. It all works out in the end.
