Maddie's First Ultrasound

Magnus POV:

Hi, appointment for Maddie please" I asked politely when we reached the reception desk "I think our appointment is for ten o'clock".

"Are you the father?" The receptionist asked and both Maddie and I shook our heads "Good, kids are getting pregnant too young nowadays".

"Excuse me?!" Maddie exclaimed angrily and the receptionist raised her eyebrow at her "I wasn't fooling around, I was..." I covered her mouth before she could say anymore and the receptionist nodded in understanding.

"My apologies for... misreading the situation" The receptionist apologized sincerely "I'm guessing you're her brother then?".

"Yes I am" I lied, glancing at Maddie who was still glaring at the receptionist.

"She's ready for you now" The receptionist told us as a friendly looking lady appeared at the beginning on the hallway and Maddie just snorted, walking towards the lady who just laughed.

"Better watch out Trisha" The lady laughed "Looks like Maddie is a fiery one" Maddie let out a little giggle and the lady showed us to her office.

"I'm sorry about Trisha, she has the best of intentions however they don't always come out the best" The lady smiled "My name is Dr. Lockwood ((AN: Random name-No copyright interned)) but you can call me Louise. You must be Maddie and Magnus, it's lovely to meet you two".

"Yes" I nodded "It's a pleasure to meet you and thank you for letting Maddie switch to you, I didn't know how she would react to a male doctor; especially after...that".

"Wait, she knows about Joseph?" Maddie asked angrily, narrowing her eyes at me "That's meant to be private, Magnus!".

"He had to tell us sweetheart" Louise told Maddie "Just because you are under the legal sex age and anyone who sleeps with someone underage is generally put in jail. If he didn't tell us then there was a risk of Magnus being thrown in jail, you wouldn't want that would you?" Maddie shook her head moodily "We had your best interests in mind Maddie, besides you're not going to be judged at all and all your information is only shared between me and the manger so we're not going to tell anyone; don't worry okay darling?".

"Fine" Maddie shrugged "Can we just do this scan please? I just want to get this over and done with; I'm regretting coming already" I gave Maddie a warning look which she completely ignored.

"Of course we can" Louise smiled, ignoring Maddie's moodiness; I guess you'd get a lot of attitude working with pregnant ladies "Just lie down on the bed Maddie, would you like the curtain pulled across?".

"No, don't worry about it" Maddie shrugged, climbing onto the bed and lying down "It's not like he hasn't seen me in worse anyway, he was the one who saved me from Joseph after all".

"Whatever you're comfortable with Hun" I told her "If you want the curtain across I won't be offended" Maddie just shook her head at me with a smile and grabbed my hand.

"I'll be comfortable as long as you're here with me, Magnus" She smiled and I smiled back, giving her hand a comforting squeeze.

"Alright, are you ready Maddie?" Louise asked and Maddie nodded "Good girl, I'm just going to raise your top a bit and put this gel so I can get a better view of the baby okay?" Maddie nodded again. Louise raised Maddie's shirt a bit and started gently rubbing a blue gel over the exposed area.

"Shit that's cold!" Maddie whined and Louise gave her a sympathetic smile "Dr. White said it'd be cold but not this damn cold!".

"You get used to it Hun" Louise smiled "No if you look to your left, there's a screen where a picture of your baby will appear". Maddie turned her head to the left just as Louise put a black hand held device on Maddie's belly and fair enough, a picture started appearing.

"Is that... my baby?" Maddie asked slowly, pointing to a little curled up speck on the screen and Louise nodded "It's so... tiny".

"It's still in early stages of development but it's very healthy, you have nothing to worry about" Louise asked, wiping the blue gel off Maddie's stomach "Would you like some pictures printed out for you to look at, they're free" Maddie nodded, tears in her eyes "Alright I'll go get them for you sweetheart".

"Are you alright?" I asked once Louise had left the room and Maddie turned and smiled at me "I'm taking that as a yes".

"It's healthy" She smiled "It's going to be okay, it's really going to be okay!" She was almost giggling with happiness by this point and I couldn't help but laugh along with her.

"Glad to hear you laughing, Maddie" Louise smiled and Maddie blush, a smile on her lips "Here's the print offs, I'll see you two again in about three weeks okay?".

"Okay!" Maddie smiled getting off the bed and giving Louise a hug "Thank you".

"You're welcome, Maddie" Louise smiled, hugging back "I'm glad to see you're feeling better".

"Let's go Maddie" I laughed kindly at the slight surprised expression on Louise's face "Louise has more people to see and I've got to drop you off back home so I can get to school before its too late". Maddie nodded and skipped out of the room, leaving me to hurry after her; Louise's laughter could be heard as Maddie and I made our way to the door.

So It's a bit of a shorter chapter today....... Sorry about that.

Also I'm sorry for not posting yesterday, I was having a lazy day ((That rhymed XD))

Oh and one more thing before I go, please note that I have no real clue what pregnant woman do/ anything really about pregnancy as I have no kids and am only sixteen with no interest in having kids so not everything will be to fact so yeah.....
