Chapter 7

BEY POV

I was getting ready for work when I got a text from Jay asking me to come over for dinner tonight.

I'm not gon lie I was super excited and nervous at the same time . I had all these thoughts going around in my head saying "what if Jay didn't like me or what does Skylar think of me"

I pushed all the thoughts away as I got ready to take my shower. I took off my clothes and got in the shower letting the warm water hit my skin. I washed my body got out and dryed off. I put my favorite lotion on from bath and body works and my matching perfume and left out the bathroom to put my clothes on.

As I walked out Derrick was sitting on the bed waiting for me. When he saw me standing there he immediately got up. My body stiffened as I saw him walkin close to me . He didn't look drunk but anything can happen.

"Hey um look I'm so sorry about what happened the other night. I don't know what wrong with me but I know that I'm putting you in a lot of pain." He said

I just looked at him feeling sorry for him. Maybe he just needs some anger management or something.

" I'm sorry for everything I put you through and I don't want to be like this anymore. Will you forgive me so we can start over "

I didn't know what to say because I was so shocked. He has never been this nice since we first met.
" yea I forgive you " I said even though I really don't . I can't trust him ever since then and I know he wants to change but I can't see past everything he put me through but I just said yes so he would do anything like I know he would.

" I would like to take you to dinner tonight if you aren't busy with work and all" Derrick said

I didn't want to tell him that I had a date with Jay tonight so I said the first thing that came to my mind

"Actually my boss called me last night saying that we have a meeting with the CEO of the company so I can't tonight. Maybe another time?"

" So your choosing work over me! Your so selfish Beyoncé. How could you. I'm trying to prove to you that I want to change but your not making it easy!" He yelled

" Look I'm sorry but I have to work so I can keep the bills payed for this house because you don't have a job so excuse me for being responsible!" I snapped back

I realized I made the wrong decision by yelling at him because he walked closer to me to where we were almost FACW to face.

He look at me and punches a whole in the wall right next to my face as I flinched. He looked at me with anger in his eyes and walked out.

I calm myself down and continue to get dress putting on and nice dress and some nice flats. I put some make up on to hide my bruises, grabbed my prose keys and phone and walked out the door.
