Chapter 5

I started to walk upstairs and as I walked past dads too. I saw him sitting there kinda dazed. I felt bad about how I was acting. I went in my room and just sat and thought about what I have done and how it ma day dad feel. I felt so bad but what's done is done.

I heard my grandma come up stairs and immediately got scared. I had to prepare for. The worst and y'all already know what happened after that.

Bey POV

I woke up to my alarm knowing that i had to get to work i got up and got dressed. I put a matching bra and underwear set with a nice white blouse with a black pencil skirt and some black louboutin's.

I went to the bathroom to do my hair and make-up and decided to leave my hair down to hide some of the bruises and marks. I sat down at my vanity table and put on some make up to hid the bags under my eyes and other bruises as well.

I got in my black Mercedes and drove to Mc. Donalds. I went through the drive way and got a sausage biscuit along with a caramel frappe. I payed and drove off to work. I work at the mall in a clothing store called Rue 21.(This is my favorite store but they can be a bit expensive)

I got there and greeted my coworker Kelly. She is my best friend and ive known her since 5th grade. She is chocolate with long dark brown hair and perfect white teeth. She is wearing a black pencil shirt with a hot pink shirt and black sandals.

Kelly- wassup Bey

Bey-hi kelly wassup

Kelly- nothing new. We have a new shipment of swim suits coming in, so we got to mark those down and that's about it .

Bey- Ok thats fine

Kelly- So how is Devin. Has he put his hands on you again.

Kelly is the only person ive told about Devin. We are best friends so why wouldnt I tell her. I know how she is about this . She hates his ass and keeps telling me to leave him but its not that easy.

Bey- He got me last night because I came home late but thats about it, i said looking away.

She turns my head towards her so i can look her in the face

Kelly- He raped you didnt he? she said.

I turned and looked away and said i dont want to talk about it. She sighed and walked away and said ok Bey. A tear escaped my eye as i hurried and wiped it away so she wouldnt notice.

Skipping to Lunch Time...

Bey- Aye Kelly I'm going to lunch ill be back in an hour!!

Ok she yells back

I was walking to the food court of the mall and decided on Taco Bell. I waited in line and waited until i got to the register. I orders 2 chicken quesadillas with sour cream on them along with a strawberry starburst slushy since it was happy hour. I took my food and went to find a seat.

As i went to go sit down i saw this handsome man sitting not far from me at a booth with a little girl. He was muscular and kinda caramel looking with a big nose, and big plump lips. As i was staring at him he looked up and caught me staring. I hurried to look away and continued to eat my food. he got up and left a few minutes later with the girl.

Since i was done early I decided to go ahead and go back to the store so Kelly can have an extra break.

Kelly im back! i yelled since I didnt see her anywhere.
