I opened my eyes slowly to be met with immense darkness. I shot up immediately, not really remembering where I was.
My eyes were almost crusted together, and hurt the second I opened them.
I looked around the room and the events from last night flooded my brain. I didn't want to leave the room, fixing comfort in the darkness that now surrounded me.
I was sure some people were worried about me, and it was about time that I left the room and entered the real world. I folded the blanket and put it back where I found it carefully. Anxiety started to fill my throat at the thought of seeing Harry, and I wasn't sure if I was ready to face the truth.
I took a deep breath as I reached towards the door handle.
I twisted it slightly, opening the door as quietly as possible. The corridor was filled with light as I looked around for other students. I looked down toward my watch and it was around 9:30, signaling that most students were still asleep or at breakfast.
I slipped through the crack and shut the door behind me. I wasn't going to lie, I was absolutely starving. I needed a hot shower and some food before I did anything.
I made my way to the common room quickly, hoping not to see any familiar faces. When I reached the room a couple of first years sat around the fire, but no one that would actually recognize me.
When I reached my dormitory it was empty, Hermione either at breakfast or looking for me. I took a quick hot shower, and then used a spell to dry my hair instantly. I stared at myself in the mirror trying to convince myself that I was going to be alright and that I could face him.
Yes, I wanted to be with Harry. But, if he didn't want to be with me, I would have to come to terms and accept that.
I made my way down the stairs and entered the common room to see Hermione pacing in front of Ron and Harry.
I stopped dead in my tracks as the three stared up towards me in relief and shock.
"Hermione I thought you said she wasn't in your dorm!" Ron said to Hermione as she looked at me with wide eyes. "I swear she wasn't!" I walked further down the stairs to be in front of them.
Hermione rushed toward me and engulfed me in a hug, which I returned. "We were worried sick!" She said as she squeezed me tighter. "Well no need, I'm fine." I said as she pulled away. The room became awkward as Harry cleared his throat. "Can I talk to you? Alone." I looked towards him and took in a deep breath and said, "No." Both Ron and Hermione snapped their heads towards me in shock.
