My eyes were barely opening, the bright glistening sun forcing them awake. I stirred quietly and turned to my right to see Harry Potter in the bed next to mine.

"Harry?" I sat up quickly. "Merlin's beard what happened? Are you alright?" I said nothing the scratches that littered his face. "I'm okay, what about you? How's your head."

"Oh nevermind me, what happened?" I am now noticing the pounding inside my brain. "Well." He leaned closer to me. "It was Voldermort, he had taken over Quirrell." I began to process the information. "Where's Hermione and Ron? Are they ok?" I said frantically.

"Both fine," a new voice said. I turned around to see Uncle Albus standing there. "Uncle!" I stood out of the bed and ran up to him, engulfing him in a bone crushing hug.

My head instantly regretted this motion.

"Whoa there child, lie back down." He said slowly waking me back to the stiff bed. "Thank goodness you two are all right." Uncle Albus began to tell us how the stone was destroyed and then Harry spoke up, "Does that mean, with the Stone gone, I mean, that Voldemort can never come back?" I pondered the question as well. "I'm afraid there are ways in which he can return. Harry, do you know why Professor Quirrell couldn't bear to have you touch him? It was because of your mother. She sacrificed herself for you, and that kind of act leaves a mark."

Harry reached up and touched his scar. "No, no, this kind of mark cannot be seen. It lives in your very skin."

"What is it?" I asked.

"Love, Ariana love." Uncle Albus paused and picked up something from the cart full of candy that was placed at the foot of our beds.

"Ah. Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans. I was most unfortunate in my youth to come across a vomit flavored one, and since then I have lost my liking for them. But I think I could be safe with a nice toffee." He chewed the jelly bean.
"Alas, Earwax." Harry and I both laughed as Uncle Albus gave us a wink and exited the hospital wing.

Once Harry and I regained our strength we immediately start to search for Ron and Hermione.

"All right there, Ron?" Says Harry once we find the two. "All right? What about you and Ariana?" Ron said smiling up at us. Harry and I both shrug. "All right. Hermione?" I ask her. "Never better." We all gave each other hugs, being so grateful that all of my best friends were here and alive.

We walked into the Great Hall, Uncle Albus looks up at McGonagall as she raises her class gaining the attention of the hall.

"Another year gone. And now, as I understand it, the house cup needs awarding, and the points stand thus. In fourth place, Gryffindor with 312 points. Third place, Hufflepuff, with 352 points. In second place, with 426 points. And in first place, with 472 points, Slytherin House."

There are loud claps and shouting at the Slytherin table and I just roll my eyes.

"Yes, yes, well done Slytherin, well done Slytherin. However, recent events must be taken into account. And I have a few last minute points to award." I smiled to myself, knowing what my uncle was about to do.

"To Miss Hermione Granger, for the use of cool intellect when others were in great peril, 50 points." We all erupt in cheers. "Second, to Mr. Ronald Weasley, for the best played game of chess." Ron looks at Harry and mouths, "Me?" Harry nods, and mouths, "You!"

"That Hogwarts has seen these many years, 50 points. Third, to Mr. Harry Potter, for pure nerve and outstanding courage, I award Gryffindor house 60 points." I gave him a quick high five and then Uncle continued his speech

"And to my lovely niece, Ariana Dumbledore for showing amazing courage and preservation, 50 points." I look up at him, smiling like crazy.
"And finally, it takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to your enemies, but a great deal more to stand up to your friends. I award 10 points to Neville Longbottom." I give Neville a side hug as he sits there in shock.

"Assuming that my calculations are correct, I believe that a change of direction is in order. Gryffindor wins the House Cup!"

"We won!" The table jumped up and screamed in victory. I began to hug all of my friends, a certain one making me blush uncontrollably

"I saw that." Hermione said to me out of nowhere. "What?" I said trying to act like I had no idea was she was talking about. "You like Harry. Don't try to hide it, I'm your best friend." She laughed at my shyness. I didn't say anything, and continued to walk with her out of the Great Hall.

"Come on now, hurry up. You'll be late. Train's leaving. Go on. Come on. Hurry up." Hagrid rushed everyone on the train as I stood by his side. Harry walked up to Hagrid and they began conversation, Hagrid handing him a small photo album as they say their goodbyes.
"Feels strange to be going home, doesn't it?" Said Hermione to Harry and Ron. "I'm not going home. Not really."

The train whistled as they faced me.

"Goodbye guys, promise you will write me, I'm going to be so incredibly lonely without any of you here." Ron put his hand onto my shoulder.
"We will miss you to Ariana." I smiled up at them and we all exchanged hugs as Hermione and Ron boarded the train. Harry looked up at me and gave me one last final hug. "You be careful, I can only imagine how bad those muggles are." Harry laughed at my comment,
"I'll miss you." I smiled at him one last time as he got on the train.
