I had my eyes closed nearly the entire time. Looking down and seeing nothing besides the thousands of feet made me want to barf on scene. Harry told me it would be a rough ride, but I didn't think it would be this bad.
I held onto Harry as if my life had depended on it, cause it did. Once we landed I let out a huge sigh of relief and brushed down my hair. Harry smiled towards me as if to try and relax me.
The Department of Ministries was cold and dark. I had my wand glued to my hand as my breath quickened with every step we took.
"This is it. Ninety-two. Ninety-three. Ninety-four. Ninety-five." Harry paused as he looked around. "He should be here."
"Harry." Hermione diverted our attention. "It's got your name on it."
Harry picked up a glass sphere holding it tightly. "The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches and the Dark Lord shall mark him as his equal but he shall have power the Dark Lord knows not. For neither can live while the other survives." I let out a shaky breath at the words.
I snap my head up to hear footsteps. "Harry." I say as I make eye contact with the man approaching us slowly.
"Where's Sirius?" Harry said. "You know, you really should learn to tell the difference between dreams and reality. You saw only what the Dark Lord wanted you to see." Lucius Malfoy stood before us. "Now, hand me the prophecy."
"If you do anything to us, I'll break it." Harry said threatening the glass object.
"He knows how to play." Her voice made my skin crawl. "Itty, bitty baby. Potter."
"Bellatrix Lestrange." Neville muttered her name as she peered around the corner.
"Neville Longbottom, is it? How's Mum and Dad?" I felt my hand tighten around my wand.
"Better, now they're about to be avenged." Neville stepped forward angrily as I tried to push him behind me."Now, let's everybody just calm down shall we?All we want is that prophecy." Lucius spoke.
"Why did Voldemort need me to come and get this?" Harry asked holding up the glass."You dare speak his name? You filthy half-blood!" Bellatrix screamed towards Harry.
"It's all right. He's just a curious lad, aren't you? Prophecies can only be retrieved by those about whom they are made. Which is lucky for you, really. Haven't you always wondered what was the reason for the connection between you and the Dark Lord? Why he was unable to kill you when you were just an infant? Don't you want to know the secret of your scar? All the answers are there Potter, in your hand. All you have to do is give it to me. Then I can show you everything." I felt the death eaters from all around start to enclose further.
I could feel Harry's shaky breath as he began to speak. "I've waited 14 years." Harry glances down towards the prophecy. "I know." Lucius said dramatically.
"I guess I can wait a little longer. Now!"
"Stupefy!" At the words we all ran down the corridor quickly trying to escape the countless death eaters. We all split up as we ran, the death eaters waiting around every corner.
As I turned one was waiting and served a blow to my face. I landed harshly on the ground as he hovered over me. "Confringo!" He was sent flying back as I scurried quickly away searching for the rest of the group.
"Ariana!" I heard Harry's voice yell for me. "I'm here!" I ran straight into the group as Harry's face seemed to relax slightly by my presence.
I looked forward to see a death eater heading straight for us. "Oh shit." I mumbled as I started to back away.
"Reducto!" Ginny stepped forward eliminating the target. The shelves around us started to crumble, glass falling around us every second.
"Get back to the door!" I felt Harry latch onto my hand as we ran into the open door.
As we stand and collect ourselves I hear something, almost drawing me in.
"The voices. Can you tell what they're saying?" Harry says as we approach an archway. My mind was racing, for I could also hear them.
"There aren't any voices, Harry." Hermione mutters. "Let's get out of here."
"I hear them too." I say along with Luna looking up in confusion. "Harry, it's just an empty archway. Please, Harry." Harry turns suddenly.
"Get behind me." We all jump behind him with wands in the air. Death eaters from every corner surround us, and I feel myself being pulled away.
"Let go!" I scream as one pulls on my hair, wand pointed towards my neck. I breath heavily as I glance around seeing everyone besides Harry in the same situation.
"A Dumbledore? What a nice little treat." The death eater whispers in my ear as I squirm underneath his touch.
"Did you actually believe, or were you truly naive enough to think that children stood a chance against us? I'll make this simple for you, Potter. Give me the prophecy now, or watch your friends die." Lucius walks around us.
"Don't give it to him, Harry!" I scream earning a hard slap from my captor.
I close my eyes in pain. When I open them, I think I'm dreaming.
"Get away from my godson." The order floods in from every side. As I'm let go Tonk grabs onto my shirt and directs Hermione and I into a hiding space with the others.
There was no way I was going to sit there and watch this, absolutely no way. I sprinted from the area as Hermione and Ginny yelled after me. Spells rolled off my tongue as I stood beside Harry blocking spells from every direction.
"Nice one James!"
I turn and see Sirius take down Lucius. I smile to myself as I look towards Harry who is also smiling slightly with victory.
That is instantly drained at the next words. I can feel Harry fall apart as my eyes go wide. No, not him. Not Sirius. Harry screams as Lupin tries to contain him. I can feel my anger within my body build up as I watch Bellatrix smile smugly.
"No!" I scream towards her as she walks away from the scene. Harry runs after her as I follow his motions. I feel two figures grab my arms, trying to restrain me. They latch on as I thrash trying to escape their grip.
My heart was hurting, more for Harry than for me.
