I look up as my little sister blows Kay across the room. I gasp, and Ashe runs to Kay along with Rina and Ever.
"Kay!" The cry is almost in unison, our voices mingling in their panic.
"Autumn!" I am the only one that calls her name... probably because of what she just did. How could she?! I run to her, but I stop right in front of her as she turns her cold gaze on me. Her eyes are completely amber, and her pupils are slitted.
"I did it too, can't you see?" She says, and I can't read her tone or her face.
"Yeah!" I say, forcing enthusiasm into my voice. What's going on?! "Your eyes are pretty," I say, and they are. They're also... dangerous looking. But I feel like that would be the wrong thing to say.
"Are they different? I wouldn't know, none of you came up to me while you had your visions." Here, I can detect a twinge of... jealousy maybe? I glance at Wren, who hasn't moved. The King is on his feet, but otherwise he hasn't moved either.
"I'm sorry Autumn, I guess we all assumed you had it covered." I say, hearing how awful that sounded.
"You're my sister, Lily," She says, echoing my thoughts. "You should've helped me." I nod slowly, feeling tears well up.
"I'm sorry Autumn... I didn't mean to do that to you."
"You didn't mean to do what to her? Lily, you did nothing. She's the one that blew Kay across the room, and if you wanted help, why didn't you just walk up to her?!" Wren says, exploding. I feel a sudden chill, and Wren walks up behind me. She emanates cold, but when her hand touches my shoulder, it's as warm as ever.
"Wren, calm down! I've been a poor sister, I should've helped her!" I say, still feeling the guilt.
"Yes, my poor sister. And as for Kay, I didn't mean to blow her away... I simply didn't want her near me, and poof, she wasn't!" Autumn says, laughing slightly.
"That's it, what do I have to do to get you to realize that wasn't OK?!" Wren says, starting calmly and ending in a scream.
"Everything. I see no problem with it, the girl has no ability anyway." She says, glancing at Kay before returning her attention to Wren. Kay lies in Ashe's lap, with Rina checking her head for injuries and Ever glaring at Autumn.
"Girls, I believe this is where I intervene." the King says, placing a hand on Autumn's shoulder. "Autumn, I see you have much talent. I'll relocate you back with your guide, Baize, is it? You'd be better off seeing the Queen than wasting your time here." He says, obviously wanting her out of his sight. Autumn smirks.
"It feels good to win, doesn't it?" She says, laughing and walking out.
"Thank goodness that girl isn't my daughter," The King says darkly. "I would have thrown her to the Queen years ago. They seem like they would get along well."
So I've been updating a lot! Hurrah to me! Anyway, here's ANOTHER chapter... what is my life? Oh yeah, I have none.
