Stunned, Juliet's hand flies to her lips. Kneeling before here is the love of her life, offering her a golden ring. She inspects it closer and sees a small ruby and an blue diamond sparkling back up at her. Mixing together in the middle, the overall color almost appears to be purple. On the side of the ring, are wings. She draws the connection from both of their Houses' emblems. Both posses one wing at the top and here, Romeo has brought them together to create a full pair of wings. How noble, how bold is he!
Finally, Juliet speaks. In this moment does her heart rule her powerful mind. Her words are swift and true, her heart beating rapidly and full of excitement in her heart. "One half of me is thine, the other half mine own, I would say; but if mine, then thine, and so all thine. Yet, our Houses..."
"But love is blind, and lovers cannot see the pretty follies that themselves commit; for, if they could, Cupid himself would blush," interrupts Romeo, keeping his hands from shivering with fear of her rejection.
"This is the very ecstasy of love: whose violent property fore does itself and leads the will to desperate undertakings, as oft as any passion under heaven that does afflict our natures," promptly answers Juliet.
"For the prize of all too precious you, I shall forget myself. What made me love thee? let that persuade thee there's something extraordinary in thee. I cannot: but I love thee; none but thee; and thou deserves the only gift I can offer. Love is a spirit all compact of fire and thou art my fire."
"Yes."
"Yes?" gasps Romeo, shocked. Juliet nods and he scoops her into his arms and without thinking, places a tender kiss on her lips.Together their hearts beat as one and she feels the moment stretch out into eons of time. Just being in his arms, around his scent, she feels safe. Safer than when she is with any other, even Tybalt.
Romeo bends down on one knee once more to place the ring on his wife-to-be's ring-finger. Upon her left hand, he kisses her fingers when he is done and truly worships at her shrine. He bows respectfully and offers his hand up to her like a proper gentleman. She takes it tenderly and brings the tip of his hand to her lips.
On his flesh, she places a holy kiss and in his soul, an eternal promise.
