"Why not? It's almost time for them to leave!" I shouted at my parents. "Because we don't want you to get hurt or killed!" My mother shouted back. "It's not like I'd even go that deep! Besides, I'm fifteen! I can take care of myself out there!" "No! I am not letting you risk your life just so you can play with waves!" "Why can't you let me take a risk now and then? I'm not seven anymore!" "We said no and that's final!" My father shouted. I stopped yelling and ran out the door in tears. I didn't stop running until I reached the docks. I sat on the edge and stared into the night sky, moonlight shining down on me. "I'd be perfectly fine! Why can't they just let me do this!" I said to myself.

Eridan's POV

"Wwhy can't I go?" I yelled at my dad. "Because you're not old enough yet!" He shouted back. "Cro wwent wwhen he wwas fifteen! Wwhy can't I? I'm practically fifteen already!" "I said no! You are not going until you are fifteen! You still have a month before that!" "I can handle myself!" "I said no and that is final!" I stopped shouting and swam away as fast as I could. I didn't stop until I reached the spot underneath the docks. "I'd be fine. It's not like I'm goin to get myself killed or anyfin." I said to myself as I stated up at the sky, the stars dancing from the waves on the water.
