Maggie's POV
I waved goodbye as mom and dad went away for a day trip to visit my grandparents. I was going to do it today. I was finally going to see what was under those waves. I quickly put on my bathing suit and grabbed a towel and goggles. I slipped on some flip flops and dashed out the door. Today wasn't very busy, there were just a few people on the beach. I ran past them and ran to the docks. I set down my towel, kicked off my shoes, and put on my goggles. I hesitated before jumping in. Was I really going to do this? I'd gotten this far. Might as well go all the way. I jumped in and opened my eyes. The water was almost crystal clear. I looked around and saw the reef a few meters away. I swam towards it, unaware of what I was about to get myself into.
Eridan's POV
I woke up under the docks and stretched. Judging from the sun's position, it was about noon. I swam off to go back home only to find Dad not there. I swam over to Cronus' room and asked him where he was. "Out on a business trip. He'll be back tomorrowv." He said. This was perfect. "I'm goin to the reef. I'll be back soon." I said before swimming off. Once I reached the reef I felt a sharp pain in my tail. I turned and saw that I had cut it on a sharp piece of coral. Violet blood began spreading through the water. Dammit. I thought. If this kept up, there would be sharks in the water within minutes. Although it wasn't as if I couldn't defend myself. Gog this is hurting. I thought as I sat on one of the outcroppings. I had no idea what would happen next.
