What Will It Take?

Chapter 7 Part 2

(Red's Bedroom on top)

Allison's POV

After we got to Red's house she let me borrow some clothes since were around the same size. We had been watching movies until we stopped, so now we are sitting in her bed.

Suddenly out of nowhere she ask's me. "Do you like Jason?" I was so surprised that she asked that, that I started blushing. "No w-why would you think that?" I said. "Well your always smiling when your with him" I did want to tell her that I like him but im not too sure myself. "That's not true" I denied. "Then why are you blushing like crazy?" She said, pointing to my blushing cheecks. I didn't know what to say since she obviously is suspecting me liking Jason. She's my best best friend so I don't want to lie to her.

"You know you can tell me Ally" 'I can do this!' I said to myself. "Okay I do like him b-but I don't think he likes me back so I'll just keep it to myself" I stated knowing it was the best choice. "Okay I respect your decision but how do you know if he does or if he doesn't?" She challenged back. "Well I d-don't but-" She cut me of. "Exactly and you will never know if you don't take the risk" She was right but I'm afraid. I can mess up our friendship just by telling him I like him. It's too soon to tell him; I'll just keep it to myself. "Ok I'll take the risk but just not now" I whispered out. "Ok Ally just know that someone can take him anytime" She sighed. "I know. Can we talk about something else please?" I pleaded looking away from her.

After our conversation of me and Jason ended we talked a
little bit more before we fell asleep next to each other on Red's bed.

Next Morning

When I woke up Red wasn't in the bed but I saw some clothes on the end of the bed so I went to wash up. After I washed up I went to look for her in the kitchen where she usually is. As I step on the last stair step I see her mom is making breakfest while her dad and Red are sitting in the table.

When I enter the kitchen Red's mom greets me, Angelica. "Hi honey how was your sleep?" "It was good" " Well I'm glad honey, go ahead and sit in the table breakfast is almost done". When I sat next to Red I started thinking about yesterday when questions started to pop in my mind. 'What if Jason finds someone better? Does he like me? Will I ever have enough courage to tell him I like him?'

When I put my thoughts aside I looked towards Red and I saw that she was giving me a look that said she was concerned. "I'm fine" I whispered to her. When I turned back Angelica had finished coocking breakfast for us. "Here you go honey" She told me as she placed a plate full of bacon, pankakes, and sausage. "Thank you, Mom" I smiled. "Welcome, sweetheart" Was the reply I got before I started eating her delicious food. I have always loved her food. It's sooo good. When I was halfway through my plate Mark, Red's dad asked me a question. "What time do you have to be back home sweety?" "My mom said by the afternoon"

I have always thought of them as more of my parents because of the way they treat me. They never treat Red and I differently as if I was also their daughter. "Well you still have some time maybe you should watch a movie upstairs?" He asked us. We looked at each other immediatly as we grinned widly. "Yesss!!!" We squaled like little girls. We had finishes eating and had said 'thamk you' as we run upstairs to Red's room.

When we got to her room she asked me what movie we should watch. "Beuty and The Beast" Was what I replied with. We both love disney movie so she quickly agreed. That's how we were for some hours, just watching movies. From disney to action to comedy.

We had just finished watching Fast and Furious when Red suggested taking me home since it was the afternoon and I agreed. "Thanks for bringing me home" I told her. "No worries. Well I better go maybe see u tomorrow?" She asks me. "Yeah, sure" I aswered. After she had sped of I entered my house.

As I was passing the living room I saw my mom seated in our couch looking at me. "Where have you been all this time? It's past afternoon" She stated and that's when I snapped. "I was at Red's house plus it's only about an hour past the afternoon and I dont know why your asking when you don't care about me!!" I spat with anger.

For a long time I had kept my emotions in. Never letting her see how much it actually hurt me until this very moment. I had never thought that I would be capable of doing what I just did; facing her about it and honesetly it felt great, just getting it of my chest. "What did you just say?" She said in a threatening tone. Daring me to say it again. I was never scared of her just hurt and I think it's time she knew that.

"You heard me. You don't have the right to ask me where I was and pretend you care because you don't! All those times you ignored me hurt me until one point it stopped. I stopped feeling. I became numb toward YOU and the rest of our family except Jr, he is the only source of my happiness between our family. Do you know how many times I cried to myself feeling all alone in this world" I cried out. She looked at me speechless but I wasn't done. "No you dont because you were never there for me. The reasons of me crying out until I became numb was because of you and dad. I hope you know what you have done!!" I yelled out before running out to my room. I layed in my bed thinking of what I had done until sleep overtook me.
