Chapter 1

Chapter 1.
I was running breathlessly from a heard of the dead, I was out of ammo and almost out of breath. Finally found a place to hide a prison... I ran to the gate of it and started climbing it. I reached the top of the gate and jumped I landed on a rock and hit my head, everything went all fuzzy a man with a crossbow came near me and then I blanked out.

When I woke up I was locked in a cell my head was Aching really bad "were the hell am i...." I said confused "oh good! Your awake!" Said an old man with white hair and a prosthetic leg "Why am I locked in here!" I said yelling "IM Hershel and your locked for safety reasons let me check your head" Hershel said "DONT TOUCH ME" listen I'm just trying to help you. But if you won't let me you could have a serious concussion." He said. I just nodded and let him see my head "Where's my gun?" I asked "you'll have to ask Rick." Hershel said "who's rick?" I asked "RICK!" Hershel called. I heard footsteps and a man approached me and Hershel "what is it Hershel?" The man asked "she wants her gun back." Hershel says "IM rick whats your name?" says rick
"IM Kayla. Now could I have my gun?" I asked "not yet. Who are you with do you have a group?" Rick asked "no I'm alone" I said truthfully "would you like to leave?" Rick asked "yes I would like to leave the cell but this prison seems like a nice place to live..." I said hopeful that he'll let me stay. "You could stay with us but if you cause any trouble I will not hesitate to kill you. I know it sounds harsh but I've gone threw a lot to make this place safe." He said "I understand..." I said "you'll be sharing a cell with my son Carl he's 14 I would give you another cell but there aren't any." Rick says "alright" I said and wait for rick to untie me.
Once rick unties me i get up and follow him to my cell. Once I looked into my cell I saw a boy with blue eyes, and a sheriffs hat look at me and rick. "Who's she?" He asked staring at me "this is Kayla shes gonna be sharing a cell with you from now on and Kayla this is Carl."
Rick says "hey" Carl says "hi" I say back "you could take The top bunk" he says.
It was 12 AM so I was exhausted i climbed on the top bunk and fell asleep. When I woke up it was morning I felt so groggy. I forgot I was on a top bunk so when I rolled I rolled of the bed and fell on the floor "ah shit" I said in pain. I heard carl bust out laughing at me. "Not funny Carl" I said in pain.
Once I got up I saw Carl in his shirt and boxers laughing. "Like what you see?" He said while winking "nope" I lied.
Thankfully I slept in my cloths so I quickly left the cell and headed to rick. "hey could have my gun back?" I asked nicely "yeah sure i loaded it for you" rick said. As he handed me my gun a man that looked Chinese came in with a woman "we're going a run Rick do yo- wait who's that girl" the Chinese man said pointing at me "thats Kayla shes with us now oh and this is glenn and maggie" Rick said. We exchanged hellos and sat down and ate when a man with a crossbow, Hershel a blond girl and an African American woman with a sword came in the room. "HEYYY is that the girl I saved" said the man with the crossbow. "Yeah" said rick "cool, I'm daryl and this here is Hershel beth and Michonne" he said while pointing to each person. "Hello" they all said to me. "Hi I'm Kayla" "nice to meet you Kayla" said beth she seemed really sweet. "Hi" I said smiling. Carl came and joined us with a woman with a nice smile and short hair. "This is Kayla" carl said pointing to me "oh hello im carol" said the woman "hi carol" I said smiling. We all ate and we talked about each other. It was nice. "Anyway me and maggie are going on a run. Anyone wanna join?" Said glenn. "I would" I said "me too" carl said alright get some weapons and lets go.
We wave goodbye and headed to the car. Me and carl sat in the back and maggie and glenn in the front. Glenn was driving. Durning the car ride there maggie sang some songs and we all listened happily. Suddenly a heard of walkers attacked the car "SHIT!" Maggie exclaimed "looks like were stuck" glenn sighed
