Chapter 10

"CARL!!!!" I screamed shaking carl trying to wake him up.

I heard people running up behind me but it was all muffled.

I started doing CPR again when suddenly Carl jumped up coughing up water.

Suddenly I could here again. rick and the rest of the group were behind me.

"CARL!!" Rick said while running up and hugging him.

I stood there in complete shock shaking.

While carl was still coughing Rick picked him up and started walking to the prison.

I was frozen on the wet grass still staring at the place carl just was when maggie came up to me and helped me up and helped me walk back to the prison.

We got to the prison and we all went inside. Everyone was silent, this was a bad enough day already. 2 deaths and a scuicide attempt.

"Come on lets get you dried up" says maggie grabbing a towel and putting it around me.

"Carls in his cell, rick is watching him" says beth with a red face still stained by tears.

"Lets all get some rest, we've been through a lot today." Says glenn

Everyone goes back to there cell,

I slowly walk back to my cell and when I lay down, I burst out crying. I don't know what happened, but it felt good to cry. I've been holding it in for so many years it feels good to let it all out.

**morning**

When I wake up I see Adam looking down at me.

"Hey..." He says giving me a slight smile.

"Hi" I say rubbing my eyes.

"It's like 5 PM right now... And I started to get worried so I came and watched out for you" Adam said scratching the back of his neck

"Oh... Its just yesterday was a bad day..." I say looking down

"I know... Don't worry about it" Adam said smiling.

I got out of bed and walked out with Adam.

"Is carl ok?.." I ask Adam

"Yeah, he hasn't got out of bed yet and Rick hasn't got any sleep yet, were all worried about him." Adam says whispering the part about rick

"Oh... Im gonna go see him." I say

"Be careful! He's edgy" Adam whispers to me.

"I'll be fine." I say walking into carls cell.

When I walk in, I see rick with bags under his eyes watching carl sleep.

"Hey um rick... Go get some sleep. I'll watch Carl" I say to rick

"No, Kayla, get out now." Rick says with a raspy voice.

"What? Don't talk to me like that. I saved your sons ass! And now I'm offering to watch him while you sleep, show some courtesy." I say a bit annoyed.

Rick looks at me, "listen here you bitch, YOU DONT TALK TO ME LIKE THAT YOU UNDERSTAND ME?!" Rick says yelling.

He suddenly gets up and approaches me like he was gonna punch me when Carl decides to wake up.

"Dad..." Carl says tiredly.

Rick suddenly runs back to carls side.

"Carl!" He says smiling.

"Dad... What were you just about to do" Carl asks suspiciously.

"Nothing son" Rick says pushing the hair out of carls for head.

I stare at Carl.

"You ok?" I ask Carl smiling slightly.

"Im sorry, I just didnt wanna live this life... But when I remembered you I wanted to get out of the water and come back but it was to late, Kayla" Carl says tearing up.

"It's ok" I say hugging Carl.

Carl hugs back and I can feel his smile even though I couldn't see his face.

Finally, Rick gets out.

And when rick gets out Carl stops hugging me then suddenly kisses me.

When he kisses me a bunch of fire works go off in my stomach.

Suddenly his kiss turned into us making out.

While we were making out i head footsteps approach and I see daryl standing at the cell door, "WELL DAYUM" Daryl giggles, "AYY remember kid, use a Condom!" Daryl says laughing and walking away.

Me and carl pull away from the kiss and as he is staring at me he says "woah.... Did you feel that.. That thing in your stomach..?" Carl says confused.

"Yeah.." I say blushing.

"It felt awesome" he says smiling pushing some hair out of my face"
