The walkers that were surrounding our car were not leaving for sure. Glenn decided to step on the gas and try to run over as many as he can.

We parked right at the entrance of Costco and got out of the car and sprinted inside we split up in groups one was me and Carl of course and the other glenn and maggie.

"Listen Kayla I don't want you to say anything to anybody about this" carl said while shoving a pack of cigarets in his pocket "What the hell?!" I whisper yelled "that stuff kills! ADULT!" I pleaded "hold on... Why do you care if this killed me or not?" He said winking "i don't care" I giggled "fine then shut up about it" he said sternly.

CARLS POV.

As me and Kayla were looking for food a kid about me and Kayla's age points his gun at us. We put our gun at the kid at the exact time he pointed it at us "who the hell are you two?" The kid asks "IM Carl and this is Kayla who the hell are you?" I told the kid "IM Adam" the kid said staring at Kayla and giving her a wink, "eyes off her" I said while cocking my gun at the kid. I saw Kayla look at me and blush at the corner of my eye. "Who are you two with?" "Is it any of your damn buisness" Kayla replies "look guys I'm just a 14 year old kid i don't want no trouble I'm alone and I've always been if you have a group I would like to stay with you guys there" he said sadly "hold up who the hell said you could stay with us" I said pissed off.

"Woah put your gun down" I heard glenn tell Adam. Adam does what glenn tells him to and asks if he could stay with our group i didn't want anything to do with that kid I wish we never saw him. "I'll have to ask rick if you could stay with us" glenn says "were is rick?" Adam asks "back at the prison come come with us" glenn says Walking to the car. We all follow him to the car.

KAYLAS POV.

"Hey Adam you could sit next to me" I said smiling at Adam. I feel bad for him I know how he feels being alone. He smiles at me and we talk about everything like what school we went to and our family's, carl just looked out the window looking mad touching the cigarets in his pockets. When we arrived at the prison carl ran out to the woods. I knew why, to smoke a cigaret, dammit Carl why do you have to do this to your self. Me and Adam got out of the car and went to rick. Rick immediately put his gun at Adam "it's ok rick he's alone and friendly" I said "WHAT THE HELL GLENN DONT BRING NEW PEOPLE HE COULD HAVE KILLED YOU ALL IN THE CAR" rick yelled at glenn "HES HARMLESS" maggie says defending glenn. Rick just laughed "ok if your so positive let him stay" rick spat "and were the hell is Carl?" He asked "he's in the woods" I said "please go get him Kayla" Rick says sighing "do I have to?" I muttered "YES." He said pissed off "calm down sir" Adam said defending me "DONT TALK BACK TO ME" he yelled at Adam "sorry sir" he said looking down.

I started running towards the woods to get carl i finally found him leaning against the tree smoking his what seemed like 3rd cigaret. "Carl pleas stop smoking" I said he laughed "why do you give a shit about me" he said sternly. "I-don't know why I care about you but I do so please stop!" I said hurt. He laughed again "don't care about me Kayla. You get annoying when you care." He spat "fuck you Carl I thought we could be really good friends but you're obviously just a dumb ass smoker." I spat. When I said that carl looked mad. He stopped leaning on the tree and got right in my face and said "YOU DONT KNOW SHIT ABOUT ME I HAVE IT HARD OK YOU DONT UNDERSTAND I HAD TO KILL MY MOM AND AFTER THAT MY DAD DIDNT TALK TO ME AND WOULD SEE SHIT SO DONT EVEN SAY THAT ABOUT ME AND NOW THAT ASS HOLE ADAM COMES ALONG TO TAK YOU TOO." He yelled. I shook my head "your dad wants you" I said quietly trying to chage the subject "tell him im busy" I sighed and left.

When I reached the prison Adam was waiting for me. " that took a while" he said "yeah..." I said looking down "is everything ok?" He said lifting my chin "I guess" I sighed "what did he say to put you down?" Adam said madly "nothing!" I said madly "ok..." He said.

I walked inside the prison and went to my cell and just laid down staring at the ceiling. I wondered were Adam was gonna sleep probably with rick. I laughed at the thought of that. I stopped laughed when I heard Carl and Ricks yelling. "NO DAD IM NOT GONNA STOP" "WERE DID YOU GET THESE CIGARETS ANYWAY?!" Rick yelled back " NON OF YOUR DAMN BUSINESS" carl said storming into our cell and shutting it and shutting the cover that we use when we change. I sat up and I saw carl crying on the floor of the cell. I quickly climbed down the ladder for the bunk beds and wiped his tears "it's ok Carl don't cry" I whispered. He looked up at me and kissed me hardly "Carl stop" I said pushing him away "just because you're sad doesn't mean you could just kiss me like that." I said "yes I can" he said pushing his lips on mine again "CARL STOP" i said trying pushing him off but his hands were on my wrists and his feet were on my knees. I pushed him off while he was trying to take my shirt off. "You're sick carl." I spat while getting up and opening the cell door. I walked over to Adams cell. "Hey Adam could we switch cells" I asked sadly "why?" He asked "I'll tell you later but can we please." I begged "yeah sure" he said "thank you so much Adam" I said thankfully.

It was night already and I was exhausted i layed on my new bed and drifted of to sleep.

CARLS POV.

I woke up in the morning with a wave of guilt from what I did to Kayla yesterday i don't know what had gotten into me and now I have to share a cell with Adam great. I got up from my bed and I saw Adam was already in the kitchen talking with Kayla... Great I wanted to apologize. I didn't mean to do any of that stuff yesterday I just stared at her with Guilt in my face. she glanced at me awkwardly and then looked back at Adam I feel so bad "hey son I want to talk to you about yesterday calmly I know I snapped at you but today lets sort this out" my dad said walking to me "dad... There's nothing to talk about and I have bigger problems. I smoke because I wanted to get away from my problems but that's done okay. I promise I won't do it again." I said to him "alright if I catch you with Them again I'm taking everything away from you. That means your gun I don't care if there's a herd I will not give it back. Understand?" "Yes! Now I have to go tell Kayla something!" I ran over to Kayla "kayla I am so sorry I know what I did to you yesterday's wrong okay I'm I'm not gonna smoke anymore okay, I'm sorry I did that to you i won't do anything anymore and what I did yesterday to you was wrong and I will never do it again sorry and I hope you can forgive me" I said feeling like I was about to cry "wait what did you do to Kayla...." Adam said
