I apologize for the sucky writing quality!!!

"Your Pokemon aren't ready,"

"A strategy just using luck won't get you anywhere,"

"You'll never be a good coordinator!"

Those words played in my mind over and over. I couldn't stop thinking about them...and him. Drew.

I thought after years of being rivals that we were friends now, and maybe even something more. But after what he said earlier today, I'm not so sure.

I'm at Pokebucks, sipping a Caramel Latte and sulking when I feel a tap on my shoulder.

"Brendan? What are you doing here?" I ask.

"Oh, just enjoying the view..." He replies nonchalantly.

"Uhh...ok...?" I turn back to my drink, not wanting anything to do with Brendan right then. He taps again.

"What do you want?" I say angrily. He must be pretty dense if he can't see that I want to be alone.

"Well, I was wondering if you want to go to dinner with me tonight...as friends, of course, well, kinda..." Brendan stutters.

"Fine... as long as you leave me alone!" I answer. He walks away with a smirk, looking way more confident than he was a second ago. I am not looking forward to tonight, that's for sure.

We (actually Brendan) decided to go to Pokedonald's. Real classy, Brendan, reeaall classy. I was thinking just not to attend, but then that could break Brendan's heart. I mean, we're not exactly BFFs, but I have known him for a long time.

I arrive and sit down at a random table. Brendan gets here a second later.

"Hey, May," He blushes. "Uhh, you look pretty tonight. I mean, you look pretty everyday, but...you know what I mean."

"Um...thanks," I say unenthusiastically. I can make myself like him. Just get your mind off Drew. I like Brendan. I like Brendan. I like...Ah, who am I kidding? I hate to admit it, but I want to be with Drew! My phone suddenly vibrates in my back pocket.

"I'm going to use the restroom. I'll be back," I say quickly, and hurry to the restroom. I pull out my phone, quickly type in the passcode, and check my notifications.

Drew: I'm sorry for what I said this morning. If you forgive me, please meet me at the park at 8.

What?!? It's 7:45 right now...Can I get there in time? I take a deep breath and burst out of the bathroom.

"Brendan, I'm so sorry! I just got an urgent call. I have to be at home ASAP. Again, I'm so sorry," I lie.

"Uh, t-that's okay," Brendan replies, looking sad. I grab my purse off the back of my chair and out of the corner of my eye, I see Brendan quickly grab a pin off my chair. What? The little creep!

I glare at him as I swiftly leave the restaurant, Brendan with a sheepish grin on his face. Man, I really wish I had Misty's mallet right now!

I hurry to the park and check my watch. 7:59. Just in time.

I see Drew sitting on a park bench, looking lonely. I quietly sit down next to him.

"Hey," I say cautiously, unsure of his reaction.

Drew turns around, a rose in his hand. "Listen, I'm sorry..."

I cut him off with a hug. "Drew...I forgive you."

"BOO!"

We let go, startled, to see Brendan leaning over the park bench.

"B-Brendan!" I stutter. "What are you doing here?"

"You left your phone at Pokedonalds," he replies haughtily. He holds up my phone, showing the text from Drew. "Never make your passcode 1234."

"Brendan!" I yell angrily. "I'm gonna get you!"

Sorry, super unoriginal. Thanks for reading!
