Hey. So...pokegirlprincess had this shipping positivity thingy she was doing, and I figured it would be good to start writing again. Whatever.
Prompt 1: Family

Dawn could not stop screaming. This was the absolute best day of her life, no doubt about it.
"Hey Dawn, I finished filling out that form online," May called from the sofa across the room. "Wanna come see?"
Dawn skipped over to the sofa and shook May's shoulders in excitement.
"This is really happening. May, this is really happening!" Dawn jumped onto the sofa and peeked her head over May's laptop.
"It's official. We're starting a family!" May giggled and shut the laptop. "Alright, let's get moving!"
Dawn hopped up and looked around frantically. "We got all the supplies for the baby? Food? Is her room is all ready?"
"Yeah, the list is all checked off," May replied and grabbed her purse. She turned to the door to leave, but then felt a slight tug at her other hand. May looked back, and Dawn stood there timidly.
"Hey Dawn, what's wrong-" May was cut off as Dawn suddenly burst into tears.
"May, I-I c-can't do this," Dawn gasped between sobs. "I j-just - I'm not ready-I-I'm not m-mature enough!"
"Hey, hey, shhh-" May set down her purse and wrapped her arms around her sniffling girlfriend. "You'll be fine, you'll be a great parent."
"Y-you think so?" Dawn looked up at May, her eyes red. "Okay, we should get going."
"Haha, there's my positive Dee-Dee," May grinned and pinched Dawn's cheek.
"H-hey, I told you not to call me that," Dawn blushed and playfully punched May in the stomach.
"Ohh-ow!" May hunched over in pain as Dawn slipped out the door. "I'm gonna get you for that!"
Dawn ran towards the car, giggling the whole time. "C'mon, hurry up!"
"I'm coming, I'm coming," May hobbled over to the car and got in with Dawn. "Let's do this,"

They pulled into the adoption facility parking lot and walked in, hand in hand. Dawn ran up to the front desk and took a deep breath.
"Hi, what can I help you with?" the receptionist asked, pen in hand.
"Um, we're here for Lily?" Dawn asked, nervous as ever.
"You're Dawn Berlitz, right?"
"Yup!"
"Okay, we'll bring her out for you now!" The receptionist went into the back room and Dawn and May's eyes locked. May squeezed Dawn's hand and Dawn squeezed back.
"Let's do this," Dawn whispered and smiled.
"Here she is!" The receptionist came out and both May and Dawn gasped.
Out came a little beagle puppy, her tail wagging like crazy. Her eyes shone and she jumped up to meet her new parents.
"Oh, oh, she's so much cuter in person!" May scooped Lily up in her arms and gave her tons of kisses. "See, I told you it would work out!"
Dawn laughed and scratched Lily behind the ears. "Yeah, yeah, you did...It worked out."
