Thoughts.

harry potter trash intensifies

so around Halloween my family is having a harry potter party and can i just you how excited I am and how much planing I'm putting into this like let me tell you about all the stuff I'm gonna try to do because I'm honestly too excited (I'm always this way with themed party planning sigh)

okay the basement is serving as the Great Hall, and I'm going to do a big painting to put on the ceiling to look like the night sky like in the movies, and I'm going to get flameless candles to hang from the ceiling. I'm going to put 4 tables down there full of food, and house color themed tablecloths. house banners also will be put up.

also I'm going to buy a fuckton of plastic spiders and have them leading to the bathrooms for sick af chamber of secrets references just because

and I'm going to put Lumos/Nox on all the light switches !! how gr8

also we have a little tree out front and I'm putting a Whomping Willow sign in front of it

and I'm going to put curtains over the front door with a brick pattern so it looks like platform 9¾ and you walk through it to get to the wizarding world

and I just got an unofficial harry potter cookbook and it has the recipe to what I believe is every food in harry potter (I am very excited to make some of Molly Weasley's dishes) so that'll be very fun !!

also there's a thing I found online to make a drink that lights on fire (like the goblet of fire) so I think that'll be a nice thing for show

and before I get too carried away with decorations and food it's a costume party and can I jUST TELL YOU

I'm going to be Draco Malfoy (I fucking love Draco fight me about it) so not too much effort really. I actually just bought a replica of his wand so (: if I dye my hair his hair color and part it different than I normally do I'm good aye (my hair has actually been bleach blonde like that before)

I think my mom is going to be McGonagall and I'm very excited to work with everyone on costumes honestly I love costumes

and my sister is going to be Voldemort and I'm honestly more excited for hers than anyone else's. she's 9 so I'm going to be helping her with everything and I am so excited to make the prosthetic mask thing and I think she'll make a lovely dark lord. also, she has a replica of Voldemort's wand, and hers is actually LED so she can pretty much do Lumos with it !! im so excited tbh
