Last Man Standing

Chapter 1

Sooooo hi everyone :)
I'm back from my little break on here and I'm ready to start a new story! I really hope you guys enjoy this, because I feel like I'm going to!

(Sky's POV)

The day started out like any other Minecraft day. The sun rose up over the mountains, and the moon was setting. The mobs were going into hiding for the day, and those who didn't make in into caves in time began to burn. I pulled myself out of bed and put on my normal days outfit, consisting of a grey muscle shirt, which I covered then with a black t-shirt, black pants, grey knee guards, red shoes, my lucky golden amulet, and my sunglasses. After making a quick stop to the bathroom to fix my crazy-curly, brown hair, I stumbled down the steps of my two story house and into the kitchen.

"Morning Adam." Ty said groggily, rubbing his eyes while putting the last of the waffles on a large platter. Ty, my best friend whom I feel like I've known for decades, decided to crash at my place a few months ago, after his house had been blown up due to an unexpected guest. I agreed to letting him stay, at the cost of him doing all the cooking.

"Morning Ty." I said, grabbing a plate from the cabinet and grabbing some waffles. Ty grabbed another plate out of the cabinet, and followed suit. We sat down at our small handcrafted table, and began to scarf down the food.

There was a loud rap on our front door. Standing up, I walked to the front door and pulled it open. I was greeted by a boy with a white shirt and red-and-black checkerboard hoodie. His gray pants and brown hair swooshed in the breeze, and his tennis shoes squeaked against the wooden floor. Standing next to him was a large furry creature in a tuxedo, a shiny diamond axe attached to the side of his belt.

"Hey Mitch! Hey Jerome!" I said happily, motioning them inside.

"What smells so good?" Jerome asked as he walked into the kitchen.

"Ty made waffles." I said, making a gesture towards the still full plate of waffles that hadn't been eaten yet.

"Yo." Ty said from the table, his mouth full of waffle. He waved from where he was sitting at the table. Mitch waved and Jerome chuckled.

"So, what's the plan today? What are we going to do?" Jerome asked, hoisting himself up onto the counter to sit. I shrugged my shoulders.

"We could go try out some new mini games at that Mineplex place. I heard there's this great new one that was just released." Mitch offered.

"What type of game is it?" I asked curiously. I eyed Jerome as I caught him eyeing the leftover waffles sitting on the counter.

"I heard its some sort of horror/Hunger Games map. It sounds pretty fun and I think we would like it." Mitch explained, fiddling with his hoodie's zipper.

I shrugged my shoulders. "Sounds good to me." Ty nodded in agreement. Mitch smiled excitedly.

"Awesome! I'll go and find the rest of the guys!" Mitch said, running out the door, slamming it. Jerome sighed.

"We'll meet outside the Mineplex building around 3:00ish?" Jerome asked before heading towards the door. I nodded. He smiled, and then ran off, probably to catch up with Mitch.

I walked back over to the table, and noticed that some of my waffles looked smaller than when I left them to answer the door.

"Ty! Did you eat some of my waffles?!" I hollered. Ty snickered by the sink.

"You can't prove anything."

[3:00 PM]

Me and Ty walked up to the massive Mineplex building. It housed tons of games, and thousands of players. I got in line for lobby tickets. Un-surprisingly, the new game was being advertised literally EVERYWHERE. There was posters of the game, cardboard cutouts, and even the employees were wearing t-shirts advertising the game. After purchasing enough lobby tickets for everyone, I walked back over to where Ty was sitting and sat down next to him. I passed him a ticket, and he pocketed it in his grey jeans.
