Chapter 8

I arrived home and opened the gate,

" Annyeong appa " I greeted my step dad.

" Annyeong Yeri " He pretended to be nice in front of my mom and Jaehyun.

The whole family chatted while I sit there quietly.

My mom and Jaehyun left the room leaving me and my dad alone, my mom and dad have separate rooms

" Yeri ah, have you cleaned my room and took a trash out? " He asked me.

" I just came back from a trip, I'm sorry " I apologies.

He slapped me with all his energy, I fell on the floor as tears start the roll down my eyes.

" You nasty girl! " He kicked my hand before walking up to his room.

I ran out of the house even when it was raining outside, I was running when I bump into someone

" Why are you out here alone? " Eun Tae questioned.

I just put my head on his chest and continued crying,

" Are you okay? " He asked.

He took me to the library and asked for a private room, we both got in the room and sat down.

" Just sleep here today " He told me.

" Why don't I have a dad like other people? caring, fun and supportive " I said to him.

" Your dad? Did he hurt you? " Eun Tae questioned me.

I hid my hand,

" N-no " I answered.

" Let me see " He grab my hand.

- Eun Tae's pov-

I was checking he hand when she put her head on my shoulder and slept.

" What should I do? I'm sorry you went through a lot while I wasn't with you " I said to her when she's asleep.

After awhile, I fell asleep too.

- Yeri's pov-

I woke up in the morning and looked around trying to remember where I was. As soon as I remember where I was, I ran out to go home.

I ran home and rushed to my room to take a quick bath and change into my uniform, I finished changing and went down stairs

" Yeri! Where were you last night? " Jae Hyun asked me.

" I fell asleep in the library " I replied.

" You shouldn't go out late at night " Dad said pretending to be caring.

" Yes " I faked a smile.

" Eat your breakfast and go to school " Mom told me and Jae Hyun.

" Okay " We responded.

We ate our sandwiches and head out.

" I heard you cried last night " Jae Hyun brought up.

" How did you know? I mean.. I didn't " I lied.

" Don't lie, Eun Tae told me you bump into him yesterday while you were crying, but why? " He said.

" He didn't tell you why? Well... I hurt myself by accident " I said back.

" Are you okay now? " He questioned.

" I'm totally fine " I pretended to be happy.

" Good " He smiled.

I entered the classroom, sat down and put my head on the table.

" Can I talk to you outside? " Moonbin whispered to me.

I followed him out,

" Tomorrow is Jae Hyun's birthday so I already reserved the spot in the park and started a bit of the decorations, let's go after school and finish things up before tomorrow " He told me.

" Sounds good " I said as we high five each other.

" Morning guys " Eun Tae greeted.

" Sup dude " Moonbin and Eun Tae did a chest bump.

" Let's go in, we're late " Moonbin reminded.

The day went by normally, nothing special.

At the end of the day, I went straight to the park with a few decorations ready.

" Annyeong! " I greeted Moonbin.

" Hi, you're here! " He greeted back.

" What can I do? " I asked him.

" Help me with that part " He replied as he points to the wall decorations.

Getting closer to him felt amazing!

I climbed the latter to put up the decorations

" Yeri! " I heard dad calling from the parking lot.

" Is that your appa? " Moonbin questioned.

" Yeri! " My dad called me.

" Appa! " I slightly bowed.

" Let's talk there " He pulled me behind the building.

" You need to help me convince your mom to buy me a car on my birthday " He asked me for a favor.

" Appa, I'm busy right now, tomorrow is Jae Hyun's birthday " I told him.

" How dare you talk back! " My dad pushed me down on the floor.

He left.

" Yeri, are you okay? " Moonbin came running.

" Oh, Yeah " I said.

" How can a father do that " He helped me a up.

" There is a scratch in your face, stay still " He said as he blew that part of my injury.

Suddenly we end up looking at each other's eyes without moving an inch,

" Moonbin!" Someone called.

We got distracted and turned,

" Oh, Chaewon! " Moonbin ran to hug her.

" Is she your girlfriend? She's pretty " She asked Moonbin about me.

" Annyeonghaseo, I'm Kim Yeri " I introduced myself.

" Annyeong! I'm Jung Chaewon, Moonbin's cousin " She introduced herself.

" We're decorating this place for her brothers birthday tomorrow " Moonbin told her.

" I'm on my way to sign for an Academy, can I join you guys tomorrow? " Chaewon questioned.

" Sure, come over at 5pm " I answered.

" Okay, thanks " She said as she left for her Academy.

" Let's continue our decoration " I walked back to the park.

We finish things up.

" Wanna have dinner together? " Moonbin asked.

" Sure " I replied.

We went to the closest cheese ribs restaurant and ordered one set,

" I'll mix it " He offered.

" Okay, thanks " I lend him the chopsticks.

" What is this? A date? " Someone walked up our table.

We turned and saw........
