Another day of morning exercise was over so Alessa drove off to the Sephora in the mall to work her shift. I decided to go to the library to work on my essay. I walked down the halls to find the library on the first floor.

Bookshelves and antsy students were all over the place. I walked in and it took my a few beats to realize some people were actually looking at me. Or mainly at my hair. I didn't wear it down very often to begin with, so I felt a bit uncomfortable.

I searched for a quiet spot to get settled with my laptop and write my essay. After about one and a half hour of excessive typing and research I finished and print it out. I printed my resume as well.

On my way out I couldn't help but get distracted between all the shelves. My love for literature runs deep, but I'm the type of person that always forgets to hand books back in after borrowing them. Just as I grabbed a book that seemed particularly interesting, I heard a familiar voice saying three familiar words,

"Need some help?"

He has that warm eye smile on his face again, this time wearing a navy blouse and thin frame glasses, he also has his small name tag on his chest.

"JB?"

"Yes," he confirms, smiling a little wider.

"Let me guess; you're a literature TA, too?"

"Actually no, this is just my job."

"So, gym instructor by Tuesdays and librarian by Wednesdays, huh? Interesting."

"Well, what can I say. I like to keep things interesting." he chuckled.

He turns to adjust some  misplaced books. The silver spectacles he's wearing give him even more of a chic energy instead of that boyish energy he had before. ''I'm not stalking you or anything, if that's what you thought,''

''I did not." He laughed, and I tried to put the book back, but instead Jaebum took it from me.

''Poison Study.''

''Have you read it before?''

''I have. A must read for sure. It gets especially good towards the end.'' He grabbed my hand, placing the heavy book back in my palm. I closed my other palm over the cover and sighed with conflict,

He frowned slightly, "You can borrow if you want to, you know? It's free."

''I'll come back to the library to read sometime.'' I end up placing the book back in the shelves again, dragging up the strap of my tote bag.  "I'm not too good with borrowing books,"

He flashes his white teeth, ''Alright. I'll see you around, then?''

Our eyes meet, and for a moment it's electric, like a wave of warm, buzzing energy. "Yeah. I'm sure you will,"

He thought for a bit. ''Niobé?''

''You're close.'' I said, smiling big. . He could pronounce my name however the hell he wants looking the way he does. Not even joking.

''Alright, see you." He smiles, and I return the favor before leaving.

Lunch break began in ten minutes, so I better hurry before it becomes crowded. I hurried inside the Jamba Juice joint, taking my resume out of my canvas bag as I did so.

It's fairly quiet, soft pop music plays through the shop. Shawn Mendes or something.

I walked towards the register and a middle aged woman is quick to come to my aid.
