|~Three Months Later~|
|~Zack's P.O.V~|
"You ready?" Blake asked. "I was ready three months ago." I responded. "Cocky bastard." Blake sneered. "Yeah whatever, come on." I told him.Three months went by pretty slow for Blake and I. We did handstands and other brutal techniques day and night. Rasheik checked on our progress every two weeks or so. During our training we've met some other mages who also trained to be warriors. None as powerful as us of course.
At the time Blake and I were walking to Rasheik's shack in the forest. Why he lives so far away from town I don't even know. Halfway into the forest Blake spotted something. "Hey hey hey stop." Blake signaled me. "Slowly.." He said. About 20 feet in front of us there was a crashed carriage which smelled strongly of blood. Because of our training our senses were far beyond any normal persons. At least that's what Rasheik told us.
We ran to the carriage to see if their were any survivors. "Help...me" I heard a voice say. I lifted the carriage to find a girl about my age. "Blake!!" I called. "Yeah?" He said running over. "Oh," he said looking at the girl. "Yeah oh, what should we do with her." I asked. "Just grab her and we'll take her to Rasheik's." Blake said. "Fine." I said.
Technically Blake's only a week older than me but he acts like it's a year. On a different note we've arrived at Rasheik's. "You're late." He said before we even made it all the way in. "Well to make up for it we got you a gift." I said. "Do tell." He said. Then he saw the girl. "What are you doing?! Get her out of here!" He yelled. "Why? What's the problem?" I asked. "I told you to never bring anyone here!" He yelled. "But she was bleeding out!" I yelled back. "Speaking of , you should probably heal her before she dies." Blake added in smoothly. "We're not done Zack." Rasheik said with a frown. He went into the kitchen and got some stuff for a remedy. He mixed it and applied it to her wounds and flared his aura a little and they began to close. "I still don't know how you do that." I said.
"They'll teach you at the university." He said. "Your friend should be waking shortly." He said. "So what university are we going to?" Blake asked. "You will be going Shibusen University Blake." Rasheik said. "Cool, I wonder if we'll take any lessons together." I said. "Oh you will not be attending Shibusen." Rasheik said sipping his tea. "What?" Blake and I said together. "You can't separate us!" I said.
Blake and I had been together for years. We had both lost our fathers at an early age. From then on we did everything together. We started Mage training together and planned on ending it together. We're not blood but we're as close as any pair of blood brothers.
"You have to be separated I don't understand the problem. You can see each other every other day." Rasheik said. "Why do we have to go to different universities?" Blake asked. "Your magic is black and his is light. Simply put." Rasheik stated. "Mmmmgghh." Said the girl. "Your friend stirs." Rasheik said. "These are not my friends." The girl said. "Well we did save your life." I said. "Yeah but..." She started. "No buts" Blake said. "What's your mane anyway?" I asked her.
"Tula, my name is Tula." She said. "Well Tula can you tell us what happened to your carriage." Rasheik said. "It's all hazy. I remember I was on my way to Vega City and I saw something chasing my carriage in the shadows. Everything after is just a daze." She said. "Vega City? Why were you going there?" I asked. "Going to a University there." She stated. "What kind of University?" Blake asked. "Mage." She said proudly. "Oh good, you can all travel to Vega together." Rasheik said. "Aren't you coming with us?" I asked. "Nah I'm way to old to be traveling so much. It's perfect traveling arrangements. You two protect the young lady on the trip." Rasheik finished. "I can protect myself just fine." Tula said. "Demonstrate please." Rasheik said. "Huh?" Tula said. "Defend yourself against an old man like me. Shouldn't be hard." He said. "I don't want to hurt you old man." Tula said. "Just try."he said. "Well ok." Tula said.
Blake and I immediately took several steps back. Rasheik may be old but he's far from helpless. He's also much more than just a 7th rank Mage. Tula took a swing at Rasheik and he easly maneuvered around her. She did a roundhouse kick at his head which he ducked and temporarily paralyzed her leg. "Woah!!" Tula said as she took a fall. Before she fell she released a telekinetic push from her hand at Rasheik. He held up his hands and stopped her push. Then he grabbed his head in pain and she released another push sending him flying. "Told you I could handle myself." Tula said lying in the ground. "What was that?" Blake asked suddenly interested in Tula.
"Mental powers." Rasheik said getting up dusting himself off. "You have two magics and know how to use both?!" I asked. "Yeah but I could use some help off the floor." She said. "Yeah sorry." I said. "Telekinesis and Mental powers are relatively similar so I wouldn't be surprised." Rasheik said. "After her leg comes around you all should get going." Rasheik said.
"Wait master I still don't know what university I'm going to." I said. "Ah yes. You'll be attending Gretum University." Rasheik said. "Call it irony but I guess we will be traveling together." Tula said. "Whys that?" Blake asked. "I'm going to Gretum University too."
