The Mistake

Chapter 2

Alice walked along the quiet streets of Michigan, at 5 in the morning. She hasn't slept all night and looked like a complete drug addict, with her hoodie and swollen eyes, from crying, and the dark rings under her eyes, from no sleep.

How could she sleep? Knowing they're might be a person inside her. Knowing she made a huge mistake.

She had 20 bucks in her pocket because she had no idea how much the pregnancy tests would cost.

She pushed the door open and it made a little ringing noise.

The lady was perky perky perky, for 5 in the morning.

"hello ma'am, how can I help you on this wonderful day?" she said with a huge Cheshire cat smile.

Alice shrugged and said "No thanks." and she went off to find her purchase. She went near the tampons and pads. She thought this was kinda funny.

"hehe, they could get both. So if they find out they're not pregnant, they can grab some of these." She thought to herself with a smirk.

She grabbed a 5 dollar test, and a 10 dollar test. She didn't know if they would both work, so just in case, she got two.

She knew once the perky lady saw what Alice would purchase, her perkiness would be brought down. And she was correct.

"Oh dear. Sweety. Are. Are. Are these for you?" she asked scanning them.

Alice panicked. She didnt know what to say. She started to choke up, but attempted to hide it.

"uh. No. They're my mothers. Uh yeah." She sighed. She always hated lying. But She could kinda tell, she was about to do that. Alot.

She asked for no bag and shoved them in her hoodie.

As she walked home fear and guilt were overwheling her. She didn't want to take the test. She wish She didn't have to. She would do almost anything, to change what they did.

Once Alice was home, she went straight to the bathroom. She was terrified. But She just wanted to get it over with. She still thought it could just be a coincidence.

She read the directions. She had to pee in a cup for one, and pee right on the stick for the other. She got a cup anf peed in it. She had been trying to hold her pee all night. She then peed on the stick and waited. She waited. She waited longer then she should, because she was scared. Why wouldn't she be.

She slowly walked in the bathroom. She first looked at the one in the cup.

Two lines. Two lines. Two lines. She gasped. She covered her mouth. She felt as if she was gonna throw up. She shook her head and then went to look at the other one.

Two lines. Two lines. And then She did throw up. First in the sink, then in the toilet. She was two weeks pregnant. She had a human inside her. She started crying her eyes out on the bathroom floor.

How would everyone look at her. Her mom. Her friends. Her family. This just made her cry more. She just couldn't stop.
