Alice sat on the floor in the middle of her room. She was exhausted, from crying, from thinking, from just...maybe it was because she was pregnant. Was that a side effect of being pregnant?

Her mother came in with the phone.

"Grandma wants to talk to you." she said and handed her phone.

"Hi grandma." Alice said, her voice shaky.

"Alice. Me and your mother didn't raise you like that! I dunno why you thought that was okay, especially without protection!" her grandma shouted through the phone with her southern accent.

"It was an accident." Alice whispered, feeling very hurt.

"Well your an idiot! You better get rid of that baby! You better kill the baby before you ruin your life completely!" She shouted.

Alice started to cry. "Grandma, I dunno what I'm doing with the baby. I'm only four weeks."

"Well your a complete idiot if you do anything else!" She said and hung up.

Alice threw the phone against the wall and slammed the door shut and locked it.

"I'm a fucking idiot!" Alice screamed. She punched the walls and the Windows and and the door. She kept screaming mean things to herself. Finally she flew on her bed and screamed into her pillow. She layed there. And for once in the last couple days, she felt, and thought nothing.

After a while she got dressed, and cleaned herself up.

She left her room stomping along the way, walking through the living room.

"Where are you going sweetheart?" Her mother asked. Alice felt a little warmer, her mom calling her sweetheart. She felt better.

"I'm going out, to a friend's." She said and left.

She stomped through the snow on the sidewalk, and thought about how she would tell him.

She knocked on the door, and he answered. Him. Ugh.

"Oh...Hi." Jack said scratching his head. He gave her a warm smile though.

"We need to talk." Alice said. "Can I come in?" She asked.

He nodded and let her in.
"My mom's not here right now." Jack said and closed the door.

"Jack. Sit down. I don't know how your going to react, but I've finally started to understand and not freak out." She said pacing and cracking her fingers nervously.

"Alice...What's going on?" He said sitting down.

"Well. We had sex. And. Now. I'm. Pregnant." She said. He sat there. He stared at me.

"Your kidding right?" He said standing up, his eyes huge.

She started to cry. She shook her head and covered her face and just sobbed. She thought she could handle it. But everything came back to her.

He paced around the room for a few minutes then he finally sat next to her.

"Hey. Hey. It's okay. We'll get through this. Alice we can do this." He said. He held her in his arms.

"My mom wants me to put it up for adoption. My grandma wants to abort it." She said wiping her face.

"Well, what do you wanna do?" He asked.

"I don't know! I'm only four weeks! How am I supposed to know! I'm 15!" she said starting so sob again.

He started to speak.

"Alice. I don't know about you, but I want this baby."
