Phil POV:
Ah planting.
Truly my favorite thing in the world.Although I fricking LOVE houseplants, my parents don't allow me to get any. However, my mom buys seeds for herself every weekend so I always sneakily steal some and plant those Ina secret spot .
I just gotta find a new spot for my secret garden here.I wandered around the perimeter of the house until I found that under my balcony was a pretty good place because it was slightly hidden but also in perfect view with the sun at the right times of day.
I kneeled down and started planting my sunflower seeds when I saw a shadow come over me. I hesitantly looked up, hoping to whoever is up there that it wasn't my dad.
"Hi!" A girl about my age said smiling brightly.
I was speechless, her voice is adorable, definitely American. (But then again this is Maryland so of course there's Americans). Her hair was just below her shoulders and was a nice shade of brown.
"Hi..." I said quietly. Why am I so nervous around her? She's just a girl. A cute girl but a girl nonetheless.
"I'm Cat! You're new to the neighborhood right?" She said sticking out her hand to me.
"I'm...Philip" I replied standing up and shaking her hand. Her hand is soft and her eyes are definitely a nice shade of brown as well.I let go of her hand and looked down at my hands. "Oh my god you're British?! That just made you ten times cuter!" She said clapping and jumping up and down.
I laughed awkwardly then nodded. Why're my cheeks so warm all of a sudden? I'm sure I put on sunscreen before I came outside!
"Well I have to go now but I saw you and I thought I'd say hello!" She said grinning at me then slipping away after waving.
I felt my cheeks heat up even more. Why am I getting so flustered over this girl and I've only just met her?
I hope I get to see her again and it better be soon.
I walked over to the small patch of flowers that were on the grass and sat down.
It's only my 3rd day here and I've already met two people! One may secretly hate me though... But I did meet Cat and I hope me and her because good friends. As for Dan... Hopefully I'll get to see him, I can tell that he's shy so I won't try to force a friendship... But it would be nice.
Things ARE a bit awkward after what happened yesterday and then also last night but somehow none of that matters.... Weird.Dan POV:
I pulled out my sketchbook and sat in the chair by the window. Hopefully there will be something interesting to sketch today rather than the normal boring trees and clouds.
As my eyes scanned the area they noticed Phil planting.
He must really like plants huh? I mean he always has on flowercrowns and plants on his shirts. Cute.
I put the pencil on the paper and started sketching Phil as he sat admiring the flowers growing in his yard. A smile slowly crept onto my face but I quickly wiped it away. His smile may contagious, Dan, but you can't catch it.
I sketched out the way his hair fell onto his face as he sat touching the flowers and how he squints one eye and wrinkles up his nose just because of aforementioned flowers.
Why am I noticing these things? He's just... Phil.As I finished the sketch I saw him start to stand up and I noticed that his father was walking towards him.
His dad is quite intimidating, especially after knowing what he does to Phil.
