I trailed after Ciel and Sebastian. My eyes scanned around the manor and I wrinkled my nose in distaste. "We're here.." Angela spoke softly. I narrowed my eyes, but I paused noticing the dog heads on the walls. I inhaled swiftly. "How could someone do this to such a sweet animal?" I thought in disgust. The snap of a whip brought me back to my senses.
"Who is this Chihuahua!? I asked you to bring me the queen's guard dog!" A middle aged man screamed and began to whip Angela harshly. "Angela may be a filthy angel, but no one deserves abuse." I thought in rage. Using my demon speed, I jumped in front of Angela. My arms brought up as a shield and I felt the whip wrap around my wrists. I hissed out in pain.
"How dare you intervene!" Lord Barrymore snarled at me. "It is not polite to punish your servants in front of guests." Ciel sent Barrymore a smirk before sitting down. "I assume you've gotten my letter. My name is Ciel, Earl Phantomhive."
"You mean to tell me, this toy poodle, is the queen's guard dog?" Barrymore spat in distaste. I unraveled the whip from my wrist and gently helped Angela up. "Thank you." She whispered to me. I gave her a stiff nod, but my attention was redirected once Ciel spoke again. "You don't like small breeds, Lord Henry? Well that's hardly fair."
Ciel then turned to me. "(Y/N), go help the others unpack. Make sure they don't break anything." I nodded with a curtsey. "Of course, my lord." I walked out of Barrymore's study and headed towards the carriages. When I passed Sebastian I paused I stood on my tip toes and leaned in close to his ear. "Watch out for Angela." I whispered and I made sure I was close enough for him to feel my breath on his neck. He turned to me and I sent him a devilish smirk and continued out towards the carriage.
Finny seemed to be day dreaming while the others were carrying boxes. I gently placed my hand on Finny's head. "Come along, Finny. There are lots of things to unpack." Finny snapped out of it and looked up at me with a grin. "Yes, Miss (Y/N)!" I smiled at his enthusiasm. "I've been here a while Finny. Please call me (Y/N)." Finny nodded and skipped towards the carriage. I grabbed a couple boxes and began unpacking with the others.
-Time Skip brought to you by competitive demons-
Everyone has begun to settle in. The servants went to bed about a half hour ago and I stood by Ciel as he read a book I'd never heard of. Suddenly, there was a knock on the door and I looked up as Angela entered the room. I immediately tensed up. "What is it you need, my young master is about to retire." Sebastian said. "I have a request to make," Angela began. I raised my eyebrow at her. "Does she not know her place as a servant?" I thought.
"Leave the castle, leave the village completely. You mustn't stay here." Angela begged. I scoffed softly, "How pathetic." Ciel didn't even pause or look up at his book when he replied. "Oh? And why is that?"
"I can't say." Angela whimpered. I rolled my eyes. A sharp howl suddenly sounded from outside. I quickly rushed closer to Ciel's side. "Oh no! It's the demon hound.. It's coming!" Angela cried and began to shake. "The what?" Ciel asked standing up quickly. Angela let out a sharp cry and pointed to the window. We all turned to see a dog-like shadow on the curtains. I rushed in front of Ciel in a protective stance. "Sebastian!" Ciel ordered.
Sebastian ran forward and threw open the curtains. Nothing was there. I walked towards the window to see a glowing green dog running ramped through the village. Shouts and screams of terror about this so called 'demon hound' ran through the village. Ciel nodded his head at Sebastian and I; signaling us to follow. We walked out the front doors of the manor. The servants rushed out soon after. "Master!" Mey-rin cried out.
"What's all the fuss about?" Bardroy asked. Angela shakily replied to the servants. "The demon hound." The servants eyes widened and they all whimpered out. "The demon hound?"
"It brings great catastrophe to the village. Anyone who dares to defy my master will be punished by the demon hound. That's the law here. There is no way to stop it!" Angela explained. Villagers walked up to the manor. They held torches and pitch forks. "Angela! Get lord Barrymore. The demon dog has punished someone." Angela looked slightly horrified before whispering out, "Who was the bad dog?"
We arrived at the village and on the ground stood the man that we saw at the village entrance. I gasped and rushed towards the man. Ciel followed after me. I got into my knees and gently ran my hands down his wounds. I sighed softly and ran my fingers through the man's hair. I knew he was dead, but I hoped his soul could see me trying to comfort him. "How awful." Sebastian muttered.
"Get back! Don't touch him!" I heard Barrymore shout as he pushed his way through the crowd. "So, James was the bad dog." He muttered. I sent the man a hateful glare. "Yes, James owned six dogs. One more than allowed." A villager explained. "Then this punishment was inevitable." Barrymore said.
"That's all you can say? One of your villagers is dead and you don't even care!" I shouted. This man was vile. Not only was he abusive, but he let one of his villagers die. "I cannot stop the demon hound from punishing those who disobey me!" Barrymore snarled at me. "The demon hound must have come for you new comers. Your lucky to have escaped." With that Barrymore turned and disappeared into the crowd.
The villagers began to chant as they all dispersed. A shudder ran down my spine. "Let's head back." Ciel muttered and we all walked back towards the manor.
-Small Time Skip-
After Ciel had retired for the night, I had begun to get ready to sleep. I walked out of the wash room feeling refreshed after the bath I took. I yelped as I saw Sebastian sitting on the bed. Suddenly, I was glad I chose a longer nightgown for tonight. "What the hell are you doing here?" I whisper/shouted at him. Sebastian sent me a smirk. "There were no other rooms available." He replied smoothly. I narrowed my eyes at him. "You don't even sleep. Why do you need a room?" I questioned.
"Seeing as this is not the young master's manor I don't need to do the usual nightly chores and the young master hasn't asked me to do anything. Therefore, I need a room." I let out a huffy breath and crossed my arms in annoyance. "Fine, but if you do anything creepy, I'm kicking you out. We clear?"
Sebastian smirked at me. "Crystal." I exhaled and stretched my limbs before settling into bed. My eyes fluttered close. "I'm going to sleep then -yawn- goodnight Sebastian." I muttered.
My eyes suddenly flashed open when I felt a weight on my stomach. My eyes locked with Sebastian's and my mouth opened in slight surprise. Sebastian leaned down to my ear and I shuddered as his breath tickled my ear. "The stunt you pulled in Barrymore's study has not gone unnoticed, kitten." I inhaled sharply and my heart pounded in my chest. "What stunt?" I breathed.
I felt Sebastian's body vibrate as he chuckled. He moved so his head was merely centimeters from mine. "You know perfectly well, (Y/N)." With each word he said, his lips brushed mine. I gulped, "I-I don't-" I whispered. Sebastian cut me off. "Just know you've started a war and I plan to win." Sebastian's eyes flashed fuchsia. I've never wanted to shove my tongue down someone else's throat as badly as I did now. Classy I know.
Sebastian leaned down to lightly peck my lips. "Goodnight, kitten." With that he was gone. My eyes widened and I grabbed my pillow. I slammed my pillow into and let out a muffled, rage filled scream. I fell back onto the bed and I exhaled softly. I shut my eyes, my mind replaying what Sebastian said to me. "This means war. Unfortunately, it might be a war I have no chance of winning." I thought before drifting off to sleep.
A/N:
Hey guys! New chapter! I actually worked really hard on this one, I had to go back and rewatch certain parts of the episode. Anyway, I want to explain a couple more things. The relationship between you and Sebastian isn't going to be fast paced. They're gonna have ups and downs like a normal relationship. Also, your character is kinda just going to automatically hate Angela because she's an angel and you're a demon. Basically, you're mortal enemies and I want to apologize for any misspellings or grammatical errors. Anyway, that's all for now I'll update as soon as possible! Love ya babs! Bye!-Deli
