The darkness welcomed me with open arms. A soft but deep voice filled my ears. "Karkat, don't give up." Another voice a bit higher, "I d9n't want t9 see y9u just yet. Live s9me m9re." My eyes fluttered opened as warms tears fell onto my face. 'Black eyes...? Dave.' Dave held me close, crying whispering sweet words. "kArkAt, I'm sO sOrry." Kinlay said, holding my father's hood cape thing. "HOW LONG HAVE I BEEN ASLEEP?" White walls and lights fill my eyes as I look around. "A year, you've been in a coma." My eyes widened. "HOW? WHAT HAPPENED?" I can't remember a few things. "WHERE'S SIGNLESS AND KANKRI?" Dave and Kinlay looked down, Kinlay squeezing the brown cloth tighter. "thEy ArE gOne...I'm sOrry kArkAt! I dIdn't knOw...I cOUldn't sAvE thEm." My heart shattered red tears fell down my face. Dave let me go and pushed Kinlay out, leaving.
The door reopened and Kanaya stood with green tears dry on her face. "WHY AM I IN THE HOSPITAL?" Kanaya sat at the edge of the hospital's bed and patted my leg. "We Don't Really Know. The Doctors Said You Hadn't Been Sleeping So You're Body Shut Down." I nodded. 'Did I hear Signless and Kankri a moment ago?' I wiggled tried of being like this. Memories of my family ran into my think pan. 'Why?'

Kankri smiled as we watched one of my romcoms. "KAN, WHY ARE YOU SO HAPPY?" I asked, kicking my legs. "Well the pers9n I'm flushed f9r t9ld me he felt the same way." I smiled and hugged his waist. "THAT'S GREAT!" Signless came downstairs, holding Disciple's hand. "Father, may Cr9nus c9me 9ver?" I looked at my dancestor. 'I've never seen Kankri so happy.' Signless looked at us and smiled brightly, Disciple smiling as well. "Yes, Karkat do you want someone over?" I thought about it before nodding. "GAMZEE!" I giggled on the inside. 'I was a happy kid, what happened?' Signless nodded and lefted, calling the ancestors. Kankri had already left to his room so I followed.
Kankri's room's lights were on. "KANKRI CAN I COME IN?" No answer. I knocked but the door opened. I walked in and saw red stain the floor. I followed the trail to the bathroom. I opened the door, seeing a troll with my brother. "CoMe On KaNKRi, LoVe Me." Kankri shook his head, red running down his arm. I pushed the troll off him and growled. "KEEP YOUR UGLY FUCKING FINGERS OFF KANKRI! HE DOESN'T LIKE YOUR NOOK SUCKING ASS! GO AWAY!" Both boys looked at me as if I was crazy. The random kid jumped out the window, winking at kankri.
"Karkat, y9u sh9uldnt have seen that." He looked down. I looked at his arm, seeing five deep cuts. Kankri covered his arm and pushed me pit his room. "FUCK YOU TOO ASSHOLE!" After that day, Kankri stayed in his room more often. I began to curse and cut. Of course, I didn't know what I was doing. Signless never cared to ask or if he did care, he didn't show it. Kankri never told me who the guy was but now thinking about it...he looks like....Kinlay!
-Flashback thing over-
My eyes widen and I run out of the room. 'I need to find Kinlay!' I ran into Dave making him fall over. "Karkles, what's wrong?" "Where's Kinlay?!" Dave's eyebrows raised passed his shades. "He's talking to bro, why?" I ignored Dave and ran to Kinlay. 'That bastard knows something! Where is he?'
--Kinlay's POV-
Bro asked me questions about my family but I didn't answer them. 'I can't tell him. I don't want my family to die.' My thoughts ran back to my family. 'Maybe they should..but I love Kiitoa and KD. What do I do?' A slightly tall person ran into me. "KINLAY! YOU PIECE OF SHIT! WHY DID YOU KILL MY FAMILY?!" Karkat yelled slapping and punching me. Bro pulled Karkat off as I spit some blood out of my mouth. "I dIdn't! yOU thInk I'd kIll mY frIends fAmIlY?! whO dO yOU tAkE mE fOr?!" He only growled and looked down. "TAKE ME TO YOUR FAMILY. NOW!" My heart stopped and sweat ran down my neck. "whY?" "I NEED TO SEE HIM." I nodded, biting my lip.
