Toriel looked shocked. "They, they, they were taken, to protect...us."

"I get why they were so upset that day now." Sans said, almost to himself. "They knew it has been 72 hours, and they didn't want any of us near them because they didn't want anything to happen to us." Toriel started crying. Even Flowey looked upset.

"Hey, at least we know they won't kill them because they have information they need. That means we can still rescue them." Undyne said.

"But how are we supposed to find them genius?" Flowey replied.

"I bet they're in the cave they mentioned in the letter." Alphys reasoned. Flowey quickly looked down.

"We should wait till night, when it's dark. Then we can all go in and rescue them. With my amazing skills, we're sure to succeed." Papyrus said triumphantly. Flowey looked sad
for a moment, then, looking determined, replied,"Take me too." Toriel looked sad.

"Oh my child, I wish I could. With you just in your cup, it's too dangerous. The humans who captured Frisk seem capable of awful things. It'll be much safer for you here." Toriel said. Flowey looked like he was gonna scream, but then relaxed.

"I trust your judgment." He said calmly. Toriel and the others were dumbfounded. Had Flowey really just said that?

"We better get moving." Sans said, ending the silence. Everyone agreed. Flowey looked a little depressed as everyone got ready to go. Toriel looked at him and sighed.

"It'll be okay my child. We'll find Frisk and bring them back to you safe and sound."

"I hope so." Flowey thought.

"I know the lake they have them by. It's kind of far, and will take at least a day to get there by foot." Alphys told everyone.

"All the more reason to get going." Undyne replied. Papyrus nodded. As everyone started to leave, Toriel whispered to Flowey, "Will you be alright my child?" Flowey nodded. Toriel patted his head lightly, afraid to hurt the small sunflower.

"Now stop wasting time and go get Frisk back." He complained. Toriel quickly left, but not without looking back one more time at the sunflower on the table.

"Wait brother!" Papyrus called. Sans turned around from where he was in the doorway. "I know you may want to give the people who took Frisk a bad time, but that is not the right way my brother." Papyrus said. Sans didn't say anything. "Please Sans. Don't do anything you'll regret."

"I'll only do what I have to do." Sans said, leaving.

"Please control yourself brother." Papyrus thought.
