Chapter 1 : What gentlemen?

I stepped into Valerie's house wearing casual clothing. It was 2 o'clock, her Halloween party starts at 6. I wanted to dress normal, no costume, no make-up. But I know she wouldn't allow it.

" Hey Mads!! " she said from behind the kitchen counter.

" Heya Val " I replied walking into her house. Then she gasped.

" Madison! What are you wearing?! " she yelled in horror.

" Clothes, birdbrain " I said sarcastically.

She rolled her eyes " Why aren't you wearing a costume? " she asked.

" I am " I poked my tongue out at her.

" And what are you dressed as may I ask? " she put her hands on her hips.

" I'm dressed as...... Madison Chloe Davis!! " I said giving her jazz hands smiling. She rolled her eyes.

" That's not good enough " she rolled her eyes. I sighed.

" I don't want to dress up just for Halloween. And you know I hate make-up " I frowned jumping onto the couch face down.

" I know that. But I don't think you'd like dressing up in filthy clothes at a party with many cute guys " she smirked.

I rolled my eyes. " What ' Cute guys ' ? I know you throw the biggest parties, but I have never seen any ' Cute guys ' here " I said making air quotes.

She sighed. " Britney is bringing three guys with her. According to her, they are good looking " she smirked.

I raised an eyebrow. " Ohhh, I remember Britney! Isn't she the one with the horrible taste in guys? " I asked.

" Come on, do it for me " Val said giving me those puppy eyes while coming extremely close to me.

I rolled my eyes and sighed. " Fine fine. Just stop with those eyes, they're creeping me out " I said backing away.

" Yay! " she squeaked grabbing my hand while pulling me up stairs.

We got into her room and she walked into her walk-in closet. After a few minutes, she came out with a very nice green genie costume. My eyes widened.

" No, Val. I can't wear this. It's too pretty! It's for you " I said shaking my head.

" I insist. I already have a peacock costume " she smiled. " Besides, it's too big for me. I'm not saying you're fat though, it's for taller people " she said passing it to me.

She was right. I tried it on, and it fit perfectly. Valerie wasn't short actually, I was just a bit tall for my age.

I took the costume off and changed back into my old clothes deciding to wear the costume later. I went downstairs with Valerie to finish decorating the house.

When we were done, the whole house looked amazing! You might be wondering, what would Valerie's parents think about it, will they be furious? No, they won't. Because her parents passed when she was 6. So she didn't have to worry about it. She says she has gotten over it, but I know she hasn't.

It was four and we were putting out the food and stuff, cleaning up the house while putting up cobwebs.... does that sound weird? :/

It was quite fun actually. We put out the drinks and we were done. We still had an hour and a half. We wore our costumes first, then we put on our make-up. I put on lip gloss and mascara only because I hated make-up.

The genie costume was so beautiful. Showing my tummy a little and my hair was tied up very high with a ribbon around it flowing down to my back. I also wore a tiara with green jewels making me look like a princess. I was bear footed cause genies don't wear shoes, do they? Well I don't know. I didn't watch Aladin.
