Chapter 4 : Chemistry

I sat at the side of the History classroom. I was so tired, I kept poking myself with a pencil, works like a charm btw. I looked to my right and saw Gale smirking at me. I rolled my eyes and looked away.

Dont get me wrong, Gale Kingsley is absolutly gorgeous, messy brown hair, green eyes, tall, tan. You would wonder why I hate him, he's a player, known for breaking everyone's heart. Plus, he just broke up with Katie.

My eyes shifted from the clock that hung above Mr.Castelo to the door. I looked through the glass and saw a poster for the schools Valentine's play, I hated plays.

Valerie tried convincing me to take part in the last school play. But I wouldn't after I embarrassed myself at my 8th birthday party. Everyone was watching as I fell into the pool. I shuddered at the memory.

I kept staring at the poster as everything started to get darker, just as I fell asleep, the bell rang loudly making me fall off my seat. Everyone was staring at me.

Gale helped me up and pulled me close whispering, "How about dinner at my place tonight, babe?" I rolled my eyes and pushed him away.

" Gross, I'd rather pass. " I quickly grabbed my books.

" Fine, your loss. " he shrugged casually and walked away.

I sighed, why are all guys idiots?

For some reason, I couldn't get that Valentine's play out of my mind. I walked towards the poster just as an oddly familiar girl walked away from it. Only one name was written on it. More like scribbled on it. I looked closely....wait what?

Suddenly, Valerie popped out from no where scaring the living day lights out of me. " Madison! " She squeaked.

" Val! Don't do that, you startled me! " I said hitting her shoulder.

" You're too soft. " she laughed. I rolled my eyes but laughed anyways. " So did you hear about the school play? " I laughed and nodded.

" It's going to suck so bad, " she chuckled " there's hardly anybody participating. I only saw one name written on the sign up sheet. " she nodded.

I opened my locker and got my Chemistry books out while putting some others in. I shut my locker close at and looked at Valerie.

" We have chemistry together right? " I asked. She nodded shutting her locker. We walked to the chemistry classroom together.

" Can't believe Valentine's Day is in a week... " she spoke up. I cocked an eyebrow.

" It is? I actually forgot when it was. That's quite quick. " I said.

" Hmm yeah. " she said softly. " Was there any chemistry homework? " she said.

" I don't think s-wait! Weren't we supposed to study for a test?! We have a test! " her eyes widened.

" Oh god no.... " I quickly opened my notebook and read last weeks homework. I showed it to her and she looked like we was about to cry. I chuckled, thank god I did some revision last week.

We both just stared at my notebook. Suddenly, I collided into something or someone hard and fell onto the floor.

" Ow! " I said rubbing my head.

" I'm so sorry! " a familiar voice replied. I looked up with a weird look on my face.

" Keaton? " I said cocking an eyebrow. He looked up and giggled making me smile.

" Heya Maddington! " he squealed loudly causing some people to stare. I just laughed.

Soon, Wesley and Drew arrived huffing and puffing.

" Woah, did you guys just run a marathon or something? " I chuckled. They were sweating like crazy. They put their hand on their knees and bent over. Drew shook his head still panting.

" Keaton was running all over the hallways. He claimed he heard a cat meow. So he went nuts. " Wesley said. I laughed clutching my stomach.

" So, can you guys show us around the school later? We just came in today. But firstly, where's the chemistry classroom? " Drew asked. I pointed at the door right next to us.

" Right here, you guys have chemistry now too? " I asked. They nodded in sync. We all went into the class together.

Sorry guys! Something went wrong, the chapter was supposed to be much much longer but I didn't notice until a week after I posted it. That's why the chapter title doesn't make sense, but I will change it to something simple. Sorry for the inconvenience!
