"Jacob... You made me an idiot I hate you" Quentin whispered not taking his eyes off the wizards that did the same. "Oh sure its my fault, shut up" Jacob retorted.
"Well, hello there lads" Jane said trying to be polite. They all glared and growled in response, taking daggers and whatever weapons they had on there belts. "Oh come on boys, this doesn't have to get dirty" Jane said surprisingly calmly which scared Jacob and Quentin, she has an idea. "We're just trying to get out of here. Mind showing us the way?" Jane asked stepping forward "she is insane!" Quentin whispered to Jacob.
"Oh I'll show you the way, the way to your grave!" A wizard shouted as he charged towards Jane, "Sad it had to be this way" Jane said in a sympathetic voice as she twirled the scissors in her hands. Before the wizard could lay a finger on her she had stuck both pair of scissors into the sides of his neck. He chocked and grasped his neck before falling to his knees, no blood spilled it was just dry holes of skin.
All the wizards removed the masks and looked gravely at their fallen friend before switching the attention to the trio. "Jane what the fuck! Our goal was to get out of here alive!" Quentin ranted, "calm down I know what I'm doing" Jane said shrugging him off. "So you wanna show us where the exit is?" She asked once again "listen little miss- argh!" the wizard stopped dead in his tracks and dropped his knife. Every weapon held by a wizard was heated to the point the top was red and gave them burns.
"Quentin if you wouldn't mind gathering the weapons" Quentin smirked, and with a waver of his hands every knife and dagger and other weapons flew towards them. Coming to an immediate halt in front of Quentin, "Jacob if you would" Jacob rolled his eyes and froze all the weapons into a giant block of ice and dropped it on the ground. "Now, I'm going to ask you one more time. Would you show me the exit?" Her voice became harsh, it was anything but polite.
A small wizard, couldn't be more than 4'9 said in his tiny voice, "we can't he'll kill us" "and we'll kill you if you don't!" Jane yelled quickly "obili-" another wizard started "don't even try it" Quentin said impatiently "obilitatis!" Quentin took the dagger in his hand and threw it straight at the wizard, he failed to avoid it with it piercing through his neck and fell on his back choking on blood flooding his mouth. "You wanna be next?" Jacob smiled looking at the smaller wizard as Quentin recollected his dagger. "Nuh-uh" the wizard said shaking his head as he watched Quentin.
It was becoming clear to them that these wizards were powerless ants compared to them. Their magic was fake and they could block it simply. With no combat practice, the three could fight them off easily. And the wizards feared them. This made this all to simple, something here wasn't right.
"I think you bluffs have a death wish" a wizard said walking up to Quentin and cornering him against the door. The wizard was obviously very well built and muscular, though that wasn't going to stop Quentin from making smart ass comments. "Where's your wand Hagrid?" Quentin mocked in a British accent, the wizard grabbed his shirt collar and slammed him to the door before dropping him. But Quentin kept a straight face the whole time.
"Listen kid do you want to die?" Quentin sighed before giving a large frown. He stayed silent for a moment allowing his grey eyes to swell with tears. "Yes" he said sadly bringing his hands to his face. The wizards expression softened, "damn kid, you wanna talk about it?" Quentin stayed silent pulling a hand from his face and throwing it to his side.
"Nope!" He said ecstatically he looked up at the wizard with a smile "wha-" the block of ice with weapons in it slammed into his face throwing him onto the floot. Where he lay unconscious.
"I don't know what came over me" Quentin whispered to Jacob and Jane, "I don't either but it was awesome" Jacob said patting his back. "No you don't get it" Quentin shook his head "what do you mean?" Jane asked "this! Somethings wrong, this is too easy, these are trained wizards who have been practicing for years and we're wiping them out like - that" (Quentin snapped his fingers).
"Do you people know any spells besides 'obilitatis'?" Quentin questioned, "to be truthful... Very few of us do" said the small wizard. Quentin looked over at Jane "don't look at me I didn't know" "how could you have not known?" Quentin asked "you don't get your powers until your sixteen okay, and so until then every one goes to school as a human, they teach you human things, and than once you turn sixteen and discover what you are you go to a college of your choice that corresponds with your abilities. They don't tell you what you learn or how you learn there. But looking at these guys I'm guessing they didn't stay very long" she explained leaning against the wall.
"So let me get this straight. You all, basically powerless, try to attack us and kill Mages who have more power than you ever will? You people are idiots." Quentin stated, "you imbeciles weren't supposed know how to use your powers, especially not you-" the wizard pointed to Jane "Mages get their powers later than others. Besides he says that Arcane fire-orbs is all we would need to defeat you all."
"Who exactly is he?" Jacob asked
"Orydor, you giant oaf" the wizard said to Jacob. Jacob looked over to Quentin and Jane who were trying to contain their laughs with an offended look.
During that whole conversation they never descry a wizard who made his way to the back of the room with a knife from the table and a bowl. He sliced the palm of his hand and let blood fill the bowl. He spoke a Latin spell "vocare ad illum et dicere , volo orydor" "Yes?" a voice asked from the bowl "they're here! The ones you asked to deal with on your own" he whispered into the bowl. "Stall them! I shall make an appearance in no more than a minute" "y-y-yes sir."
"Hey!" Quentin called, he noticed the mumbling and called him forward. Reluctantly he did so and walked over.
"Who were you speaking too?"
"Oh geez you sound like my mother. That's for me to know, and you to find out." The wizard attempted to walk away with the feeling of a badass. Which worked until Quentin caught him from the back swung him around grabbed his neck and slammed him against the wall. "Wanna try that again?" Quentin asked with more force "Or-" he coughed "dor".Quentin let him go and rolled his eyes. "Not this bull again."
"Hello lads!" A voice boomed, the three spun around. A large figure with smoke eloping it, it was scary how similar it looked to the one in Jane's bedroom. "Well this is going to be fun" with that he snapped his long bony fingers and the three were surrounded by dark smoke.
The smoke grabbed and pinched and twisted and pulled at their bodies 'till they couldn't see anything but darkness. Breathing was a challenge and it felt as if their ear drums were pushing into their skulls. Hearts dropped, stomachs turned, pain gripped on to their souls like an old friend.
When they opened their eyes, they saw the bunker.
And the same figure stood in front of them. "Lets begin shall we?"
