The three were searching for hours, in at least five journals had it had the page titled 'When It Began'. Jane was the first to fall asleep, she yawned and yawned and did her best to stay awake but eventually fell asleep without even realizing it. "You see anything I missed?" Quentin asked her in a quiet, rough, raspy voice. When she didn't reply he looked down at her to her fast asleep in his pocket. He unbuttoned his flannel, took it off, and folded it down so she slept in a comfortable position.

He put his jacket on as the gray t-shirt he wore wasn't warm enough. "Man" Jacob yawned "out of all the girls you could have a crush, it had to be her." "I don't know what you're talking about" he replied quietly before going back to reading. But Quentin knew exactly what his brother was talking about. And he wasn't wrong either.

Of course Quentin hadn't expected to fall for the girl, he didn't even realizing he was until Jacob had said something. He didn't want to fall for Jane, because he knew eventually they would get her back to her dimension, and she would forget about him. Despite the fact she randomly came out of a small portal his mom left him no more the 5 hours ago, he did find himself interested in her.

Quentin too found himself drifting off to sleep, Jacob was already sleep, guess he was the last to be awake. He placed his head on the table and fell asleep.

You could feel the table shake slightly as a phone blasted music. They all woke up in a flash and groaned as they looked over at the phone. Jacob picked it up and answered "hello?" he asked in a hoarse voice, the other two could hear a women yelling through it. "Yes, yes I understand-we're sorry. We will" he answered slightly annoyed before hanging up. "What time is it?" Quentin asked lifting his head back up from the table and putting his flannel back on while Jane was still in it. "Eight."

"We gotta head back, aunt Liz wants us back home, right now" Jacob said as he picked up a pair of keys off the table. Something about them caught Quentin's eye before he realized "Jacob! Where did you get those keys?" "These? Its the key to the car it was sitting in my back pocket." Jane eventually caught on to what Quentin was talking about and said "what about that broken one next to it?" "I don't know it was just there" , "does it remind you of something?" She hinted, he was prepared to say 'no' before he realized as well and ran to the box.

"You think-?" The two nodded and he took out the other part of the key. He placed them together and a white light shined from the cracks, once it faded it was like the pieces had glued themselves together. "You might wanna text aunt Liz and tell her we're gonna be a little bit late" Quentin chuckled.

The boys began to put their jackets on in silence before Quentin whispered "we're really gonna do this, we are going to a different dimension. Oh god, i'm insane. Lets do this" he laughed at himself and walked down the hallway towards the door near the stair way followed by Jacob. Quentin felt as if his body movement was a lie. He looked calm and collective as if he knew what he was doing, but he felt like an absolute train wreck. He was getting ready to go, leave, enter a new dimension, and that's one thing no one is prepared to do for the first time. Jacob handed the key to Quentin, he held the key in his hand like his life depended on it. He looked over at the door and hesitated before jamming the key into the door quickly and turned it.

This was it, whatever happened now, couldn't be changed, and was definitely going to change their life. He pulled the door open and like before a light shined through. The brothers looked at each other and nodded before looking down at Jane and doing the same. Walking through they were temporarily blinded by the light before entering a warm environment. Looking around they were in some sort of room, most likely a bedroom.

Something weighed Quentin down a bit, he looked down at to see a full sized Jane in a sitting position in his arms. "You're-" Quentin gasped "yea... wow, you are really tall" she replied, Quentin was about 6'1 and Jane's head reached his shoulder. Same went for Jacob. "Where are we?" Jacob asked, "I'm not sure yet". Something rubbed against's Quentin's leg and yawned, giving off heat. Before looking down he shared a scared look with the others and jumped half way across the room when he saw it "what is that?" he whispered in a scared tone. Jane gasped and ran down to hug the creature, "Jeremy!" she smiled.
