Dear Diary,

Even though the accident caused me a lot of pain in my body at least there was only one scar which was at my right leg. The thought of dying just scares me but I never regretted being hit by the van. I know it’s sounds crazy to be okay with an almost-death experience but that made my parents realize they neglected their responsibilities as my parents. After the incident, they gave time for me again and that made me the happiest girl in town. After my recovery, they made up for the time lost by bonding together. But one thing that really bothers me is how did Alice end up at the side of the road when, in fact, I just put her beside me. Lots of queries were forming in my mind now and I’m really curious how Alice got there.

Eliz

I was walking. I don’t know where I’m headed but my legs won’t stop. Looking around, it was dark. I looked at the ground and saw shattered glass on the floor I’m walking on but for some reason, don’t feel any pain. Confused, I started asking questions to myself.

“Why am I here?”

“Is this another nightmare?”

I kept on repeating these questions. I don’t know what to do anymore. I thought that I was going insane.

“Alice? Where are you?”

“I thought you’ll never leave me?”

I slowly bend my knees till it reached the ground. Even though the floor is full of shattered glass, I didn’t feel any pain. I started crying.

“Mommy!”

“Daddy!”

“Nanny!”

“Alice!”

“Where are you?!” I cried a lot.

Then, I saw a girl, the same girl I saw at the amusement park. I wonder why she’s here. Maybe she’s lost. But this is my dream. Is she someone important that I’ve been seeing her a lot?

“You’re Elizabeth Rose right?”

She suddenly started a conversation. But, to be honest, I don’t like to see her; she might take Alice away from me.

“Yes”

“Aren’t you aware?”

“Aware? Of what? She suddenly got closer and we were inches apart.

“Alice”, she whispered.

What? Why Alice? I kept on wondering until she stepped back a little and reached out her right hand.

“Come on, let’s go”

I didn’t take her hand, I just followed her. She might know where I am exactly and she might also take me to where Alice is.

Then, suddenly, I felt someone grabbed my hand. I turned around and saw Alice.

“Don’t go with her”, pleaded Alice.

“Why not?”

“Just don’t, if you go with her, we’ll never be together”

I paused for a while thinking about the last thing she said. I was clueless; I didn’t know what to do. I was helpless, the two of them, it’s like I’m in a Tag of War, and I am the rope.

Henry and I are sitting beside Eliz worried. We think we’re helpless; we had no choice but to see Eliz lying on the bed, unconscious and paralyzed. We did everything but we can’t do anything more to cure her besides praying.
