"Text him already!" Yassi said once she stepped out of the shower. Her hair's towel-wrapped, legs newly shaved and face covered up with white mask.

"May date?" Nadine asked and shifted her eyes off her phone to Yassi's direction, she studied her from head to toe. Yassi shrugged and walked to her bedroom without looking back.

Nadine hurled her phone to the couch. It bounced off and fell on the faux sheepskin rug. She reached out for her phone but she was distracted with something that she saw on her favourite piece of deco in the entire house. "Ahhh! There's a pepperoni on my sheepskin! Who's the culprit?" she asked no one in particular, stood up and hurriedly went to the kitchen to grab her 'cleaning kit'.

Yassi came out of her room wearing salmon satin camisole and black distressed skinny jeans. "Nads, borrow your lou's!" and went straight to Nadine's room. She was quite surprised she didn't hear anything from Nadine. Because Nadine would definitely fight her. She can be quite protective with her stuff. Something felt off and Yassi will find out what it is. She searched for Nadine and found her in the toilet scrubbing the floor.

"What are you doing? Thought we'll do the cleaning on Sunday?"

"Yeah, it's just that I saw this piece of pepperoni on my favourite rug...from some nights ago."

"Okay, and? What are you doing in the toilet?" Yassi was obviously confused and checked her phone for the time. She might be running late but she needs to attend to her best friend's current predicament.

"So I cleaned that up and now I'm cleaning the toilet...just because I started cleaning already. I also have to be up early tomorrow to send that," she pointed to the faux sheepskin rug on top of the kitchen island, "for dry cleaning."

"I'm gonna be late for my appointment. Nads what's wrong? Spare me the mystery and just get on with the pissery."

Nadine stared at Yassi blankly and stood up to spray some liquid cleaning soap on the bathroom mirror.

"Oh just text him already!" Yassi squealed with frustration and headed to the living room to find Nadine's phone.

"You two still haven't exchanged numbers?" Yassi shouted from the couch. "What's wrong with you, last week was part 2 already. At least have the decency to exchange numbers and talk things through."

Nadine followed to the living room and noticed Yassi was wearing her precious black Louboutins. Usually she would nag at Yassi on how to walk properly so she wont trip and end up breaking her precious pair. But she was completely distracted today that she honestly couldn't care less.

"Yas, it just doesn't feel right. He's with someone else. And...that 'part 2' wasn't intentional at all."

Yassi checked the time for the nth time and Nadine noticed her worried face.

"Naku Yas, you know me. I'm a very rational person. Just that my logic doesn't work well with alcohol. What I'm trying to say is..." She paused and walked towards Yassi; opened the door and shoved Yassi out. "Go! You're gonna be late for your date with Andre!" And quickly shut the door. She leaned on it for a few seconds as she tried to arrange her thoughts. Oh right, she was cleaning the toilet.

...

The Platters' Great Pretender played next from her dad's vintage turntable, the old horn speakers still work magic as it was blasting off all over the place that the next door neighbours might even be singing along.

"Oh-wooaah-oh yes, I'm the great, ay tiyanak!" She almost slipped off the floor when she saw someone standing by the door of their apartment; she managed to hold her composure and leaned on the wall division of the kitchen and the living area.
