I watched Hope’s happy facial expression as she filled me in with James’ Halloween party. First of all we had to dress up in costumes just like normal children but with a sort of edge to it. Funny though, how Hope knows exactly what she’s going to dress up as…an angel. But unfortunately she’s going to buy plastic wings unlike her real wings. Which I was kind of hoping to see.
“Why don’t you dress up as Superwoman?” Hope asked.
“No,” I said, shaking my head.
“I got it,” she said as if a light bulb just switched on at the top of her head. “How about you dress up as a Greek goddess?”
“I don’t know. Like after playing all of the ‘God of War’ games Greek goddesses are really…bitchy. Aphrodite for an example, huge slut, you literally had to have sex with her to get to the next level. Don’t get me started with Hera the old bitch who deserves to die even though she’s immortal. Then at the end of the game where you least expect it, Athena’s the bad guy! It was like whoa step back,” I blurted out. Hope just laughed at me and rolled her eyes.
“Well then, I really don’t know,” sighed Hope. “So I’ll just dress up as an angel even though I’m already one and you’ll just go casual. I guess?”
“Yep,” I said popping the ‘p.’
“So then its official, I’m going to be an angel and you’re going to be…Megan as Megan,” Hope yelled happily clapping her hands.
“But what about your costume?” I asked worried.
“Leave it to me,” she winked. I walked to the fridge and groaned as there was no food, only god damn milk which is also way past its due date. I need to do some shopping but then suddenly I heard the door slam open. I turned around to see Dad and Hope locked gazes between them. Hope slightly shivered as if she had seen a ghost but you can sort of compare that to Dad, since he’s Death and all. I sensed that Dad knew Hope wasn’t human, in fact an angel. He was still continuing to stare at her wide eyed until she ran in hast behind me. I could feel her heavily breathing on my neck and sort of relieved at the same time. But then Dad’s words echoed into my head, ‘No one can hide from me. Believe me I know.’
We were at Springsteen’s shopping centre browsing through clothes as we just finished our food shopping. Hope couldn’t find a dress perfect for me and as determined to find one even though I didn’t want a costume. As for me, I couldn’t help it but glare at the food court. Oh my god! There’s a new Thai restaurant just right next to KFC. However, I do like the idea of a sundae from McDonalds but what about the Sushi Bar? My stomach growled really loud making a little boy laugh as he walked past me. I’m hungry, I thought to myself. I need a job. I need money. I need food. “I give up. Let’s just eat,” Hope heavily sighed.
