With every limp I take, the heavier I get. I know I'm slowing Chloe down. I try my best to build up all my strength and move faster. "We can't use the car! Look. The tires are slashed!" I say. We have to run down the driveway and make a break for it. I look back and see the men catching up to us.
I look forward and I feel a painful snap on my left leg. I fall to the ground. "Oh my god!" Chloe cries covering her mouth in shock and horror. I look at my leg. A bear trap caught me. The masked psychos are running towards us and I scream to Chloe. "Run! Run!" Chloe reluctantly runs toward the end of the driveway. She turns back with tears shining from the sun.
All three men stand behind me. One of them pulls my hair and makes me look at Chloe while he points his machete at her. "I love you!" I yell. "I love you too!" She yells back. A scratchy voice floods my ears. "Thank you for playing with us." The cold blade touches my throat. It slides across and I feel my skin slowly ripping.
My vision gets blurry and the sound around me is muffled. As my head falls to the ground I see Chloe's blurred figure run into the trees. Then black and silence.
