The first day of school was almost easy... Sort of. After lunch I finished my last 3 classes and now I am scrounging to get to Long Island Sound on time.

The blonde, Jason was driving Leo and convinced me to carpool with them to save the environment. Jason apparently also works for CHB radio.

I finished unloading my books and I sprinted out of the apartment in sandals. I was rounding the corner towards the parking lot when I heard a shriek.

Leo and Jason were a few cars down from where I stood. They were in the car dancing I'm assuming they didn't hear the scream.

I glanced over and saw a girl with dark brown hair and a look of disgust on hr face. She had a huge gash of blood on her gut and something hovered over her.
Both the creature and the girl were armed with swords, except the girl's sword was scattered a few feet away.

It isn't real.

I told myself.

A girl is in danger by some sort of monster. She has real blood. It is real.

I was trying to navigate a plan to help her when the demon thing raised it's sword prepared to finish her.
Before I really knew what I was doing I started waving my hands ad screaming.

The monster turned, facing me. Know that it was faced my way I could get a good look. It had legs made of a spasm of tornadoes. And an upper half almost like a humans. This wasn't any monster.

It was a venti.
A roman wind spirit controlled by the god of the winds.

Piper recalled and odd memory with this monster. Her falling and them being caught. That's all she could remember but she felt it was important.

As the spirit drew closer piper could see the dark haired girl recover just barely. She reached for her sword and managed to grab it. Without leaving the ground she threw her sword at the venti. It turned to dust and blew away.

Piper scurried over to the girl and tried to help her up. The parking lot, moments ago filled with people and cars now only had one car where Leo and Jason sat patiently. Piper waved the over and together they managed to get the girl in the car.

"We need and ambulance!" Piper screamed.

Jason, who seemed to be doing a good job of keeping his cool nodded and grabbed his phone. When he was almost done dialling the number the girl spoke.

"Don't use your phone it will only attract more." The girl croaked.

"More what?" I demanded.

"Monsters." She replied.

Jason put down the phone.

"Drive you daft dimbo! I need ambrosia and nectar not a doctor!" Her voice, barely audible still had a sense of authority.

"Where do you suppose we get that, whatever it is." I questioned.

"Chiron"

When no one answered she tried again.

"Mr. Brunner"

Jason nodded and before we could come up with a better idea he stepped on the gas and we sped towards Long Island Sound.

After the most stressful 25 minutes of my life and a few bandages we arrived at Long Island. Jason was about to turn towards the radio station when the girl screamed.

"STOP!"

Jason turned and his eyebrows knitted together.

"Straight for the strawberry patch and farmhouse."

Jason went the way she directed without replying. Once we were as close to the strawberry field as possible the girl told us to stop.

I couldn't help but notice her voice becoming more exhausted with each word.

We carried her through the field and once we reached the farmhouse we saw an arch labeled CAMP HALF BLOOD. The girl wasn't hesitant to tell us to go through.

I could vaguely remember entering here before with all of the same people except instead of the girl it was coach Hedge.
I shook the memory away, this girl was our first priority. Once we entered through the arch the world was flipped upside down and there was a massive perspective change.

On the inside of the arch there weren't anymore strawberry fields or country side but instead a camp. The weather, the opposite of outside was scorching hot.
Luscious green woods were on my left and a big blue run down house to my right. Straight ahead was a lake, or possibly the ocean.

"Not that I wouldn't love to stay and stare at the view but my guts are sort of bleeding out." The girl snapped.

I looked down and I was sure if we didn't find help soon she would die of blood loss.

We helped her off the tree she had been leaning on and carried her over to the big house, we invited ourselves in and saw 2 people playing pinochle on the inside.

One of them was Mr. Brunner. He stood quickly.

"AHHHH" Leo screamed and pointed at Mr. Brunner's legs. It was the longest he's gone without talking since I had met him.
Leo was the first to recognize Mr. Brunner was not in a wheelchair and was standing up.

"H-h-HOW!?" Leo stuttered and screamed.

"No time to explain, Bay, we have to take you to the infirmary." Mr. Brunner, who is apparently also now Chiron, said.

With that they scampered out of the room. Bay, in Chiron's arms.
~
Me, Leo, and Jason sat hip to hip in the infirmary. We were all giddy with relief to hear that Bay was going to be fine and that the doctors have seen so much worse.

We had just met her but as far as Jason and Leo knew both her and I have saved each other's lives.
~
"Have you guys been getting almost flashes, of what might be memories?" I muttered when no one was looking.

"I know it's silly but-" I was cut off.

Fortunately Jason and Leo looked troubled but moments later nodded. It was reassuring to know I wasn't alone in all of this. What am I going to do? Am I going mad?
No, Leo, and Jason are getting them too.
