Today was not like every other day. The sun was as bright as ever, drying up last night's rain. Student were laughing happily on their table talking about whatever. The mood was light and happy, something that rarely came around. And the reason was because school was ending next week. And it was mostly just exam and the 12th grade's graduation and prom.

But I was happy for personal reasons.

The boy, sitting right beside me, that was laughing with Vivian and Prim was mine. The boy with the precious green eyes that could make me melt in an instant was mine. Mark was mine.

"What are you staring at, you weirdo?" Prim narrowed her eyes at me and I stuck my tongue at her.

"None of your girly business."

"My business ain't that girly, boy. Five Diamond." She flipped her hair at me then popped her gum before placing a card on the table.

It was lunch time and Tom and Zac had gone to talk to the coach about their last game with the seniors. In the meantime, I had proposed a game of cards. Each person had six cards each and the remaining deck was used as Market, placed closed so no one could see the card they would pick. The game we were playing was called Bullshit, where you have to lie about your card if you don't have the appropriate one.

The game started with an open card at the center; Six Club. According to the rules, the next person to play had to either drop any number with a club or any shape with the number six. If someone didn't have the card, they have to pick a card from the Market. It was when the Market was empty the game really started.

A person had to be slick if he wanted to fool anyone in the game. The game didn't have a winner. If a person managed to drop all their cards, they were safe. However, the loser was the person unable to do so.

"Prim, you are lying but I am scared to call bullshit. Two Diamond." Ciara eyed her as she played her game.

"Two Spade." Yale dropped his card and I watched him rub his nose until the next person played and he sighed. Bingo.

To get out of the game faster, it would be safer to call bullshit to the person lying about their card because then, he/she would have to pick all the cards played. And that cancels the person's chance of dropping all their cards early. Sadly, it was hopelessly risky because the person you thought might be lying could be telling the truth and if a person calls bullshit on that, the person who called would have to pick up all the cards played. And it could be a lot.

Since the Market was out, the game had picked up in tension. Rubbing my neck, I waited for Mark to play before I played right after him. "King Spade." I said then waited for the girl beside me to play.

"Wait Tammy." Vivian eyed me. "Ian, you lied."

I chuckled. "What do you mean by that love? Everyone is lying."

"I'm gonna call bullshit."

"Are you calling it or nah?"

"Bullshit." She called and I sighed.

"Viv, you should know I never lie. I'm lucky in this game." I smiled weakly at her as I pushed all the cards towards her, opening mine. "I didn't lie."

"Shit." Was not only the response from her but from other people in the crowd. I played this game well.

"Tammy love. You start." I told her and she did.

"Well, no one should better lie. I've got almost two rounds of card with me. I'll bullshit you with no mercy." She barked as she gathered her cards together.
