Have you ever heard of the term smiling depression? I don't think so. The basics of it are perfecting a smile and a laugh that no one can see through. Those who suffer with it hide the tears or trap the tears behind laughter when actually they want to scream. But then that brings me to depression and posttraumatic stress disorder and anxiety. Too many teenagers have it. We should not be dosed up on antipsychotics or antidepressants or whatever. We should be dosed up on love and laughter. Teenagers shouldn't feel the need to wear jeans and jumpers in summer so that they hide their scars.
I have to, though. I have over 200 scars from self-harm and many more emotional and mental ones. And this is where my story begins.
