The Rebels Path

               I was almost going to say once upon a time, but this isn't a fairytale it's my life, so I hope you enjoy my story. It's been 10 years since the accident that opened a hole to a parallel universe. The problem came when "The Other Place" took over and began ruling us. The world was divided into five regions then given to the lords to rule. The hierarchy is Lord Zane, Lord Leo, Lord Thomas, Lord Alexander, and Lord Chase. Zane, Thomas, and chase are cousins except Leo and Alexander which are brothers. With this new world came magic and mythical creatures. But it also brought wars, rebellion, and ignorance on both sides due to the difference in science and magic. Neither side could understand the importance of compromise and compassion. Ever since that day, our world has changed; for the better or worse? I don't know yet, someday I will be able to tell you. I finally have approval from the lords to write whatever I want, but the downside is that they made me their scribe because the previous scribe didn't understand our world's technology. So, that's where I come in, I have read the books about the technology, but I have not been able to put my knowledge to use. Their rule stifle our technological advances in our world and ripped out our culture. I know of my world because I have had a half decent education. The Lords wanted me to learn my world's language, so I could read it to them. For the other stuff, I know it, because I found an abandoned home with a nice library still intact. Our modern world has changed so much even through the simplest ways like exploring and finding the greenery is becoming overgrown since no one takes care of it anymore. I heard that animals are being returned back to primal ways since there is less human interference. Some places look even worse since some of the mythians used nature magic. Their magic is so beautiful even when its destroying everything around them. Mythians are born with one or more affinities to various types of magic some more common than others. I once inquired about them and I was sent to an old Mythian mage that regaled me about the process and activation also about the different types. Many mages say it's an inherited trait and it's also attuned to the persons emotions. Many have also made claims that you can make your magic stronger after they hit their peak but that's unproven. In base form type: Fyrain (fire), torrent (water), Atmos(air), Geo(earth), Lewk(light), and Misc. (healing, teleport, enhancement, et cetera.). Any other elements are subclassed under the main elements. Occasionally the lords tease me about not having magic, but I don't mind since magic seem too much of a headache.so another thing is that they named the elements after their deities that gave them the abilities well except , due to her being the top mother goddess it didn't feel right to name her affinity fully after her so that's why hers is only called misc. I came to stay with The Lords due to my mother leaving me in front of what they call a castle. I was found by Sir Eric and Lord Zane who decided to let me stay with them. I wish my mother hadn't abandoned me since it was hard getting used to the work I was taught. in the beginning before they learned I could read and sort of write. my writing was alittle primitive but at least it was legible. The Lords weren't always the leaders due to their young age, so they had a counsel of advisors to help them get started. It all started, when a couple of scientists including my Mother and Father wanted to find out how a teleport gate might work for our space exploration to Pluto. Unfortunately, they caused a rift between two parallel universes. The Other World wasn't big on diplomacy, they traveled through the rift and took over our world. We lost the battle because we were not prepared for their use of magic in battle. I was five when this happen. So, I don't know too much, but I met people that have told me stories of my world. I thought up names for our two groups: Earthians and Mythians. Mythians believe that they are superior because they beat the Earthians in battle, but they may not be as high and mighty as they seem.
