-Day 4-
Trina smirked and seperated a bit from the guy with his arms around her body.
"What's up, Cal?" She asked smoothly as if they had bumped into each other on the sidewalk and went to the same high school together. The coolness in her voice made the boy scoff. He downed a shot of whiskey then took a step to the girl.
"I don't know," He paused, eyes flinging up at the dude who was giving him a hard look. He chuckled lightly. "You tell me, babe." Now that pet name was the alcohol talking and Calum knew it. But he liked the way it changed the expression on her boy toy.
The man knotted his brows, his brown skin before his ear moving due to his jaw clenching.
"Yo, excuse me?" The John Doe sized Calum up and attempted to step to the boy, though Calum wasn't fazed, but Trina put an arm up to block him.
"Chill, Adonis." She said trying to calm things down. The girl glanced at Calum who blinked then turned back to the bar to order another drink.
Trina cupped Adonis' face then rubbed his cheek with her thumb, something she does to relax him, then nodded her head at the sofa a bit away from them.
"How 'bout you go mingle then find us a spot, okay?" She smiled, which calmed the man down. He nodded and gave Calum another look before kissing the girl and walking over to the seating area.
The one dressed in all black was leaned against the bar, a grin on his face as he held his drink in one hand.
"About time your little friend left." He took a sip of the strong liquid then passed down the other drink he brought for the girl. Trina snorted then shook her head, grabbing the glass.
"You haven't changed, I see. Still that cocky little bass player, huh?"
"Actually, I've played across the world so I'm a big, cocky bass player." He replied, winking at the girl as she giggled. But this wasn't a 'hee hee' type of giggle, it was a dry one.
He took a swig of his drink then pointed the glass in the direction of her friend.
"So, you let all your friends grope you like that?"
His question made the girl laugh, a genuine laugh, barely able to keep the liquor in her mouth.
She shook her head then swallowed.
"Actually, I'm seeing him."
Calum scoffed and raised a brow at the girl.
"Really? Why?" He made a face at the boy sitting on the couch some feet away from them. Calum hated how blunt the liquor was making him but what he was saying was necessary.
Plus, it's not like he didn't feel what he was speaking, regardless of his alcohol level.
Trina chuckled in disbelief. He was really standing here, acting worse than her own father, questioning her about something that ain't have anything to do with him.
She was already done with this conversation and it hadn't even really began. She sighed.
"What do you want, Calum? Hm? Because last time I checked, I was left in a hotel room and you were on a plane to Asia. So what could you possibly want?" Trina's tone of voice changed and Calum caught on to it quickly. It made him gulp because he could hear the annoyance and slight hurt in her tone.
And he knew where it came from because he remember how she reacted on social media, she didn't include his name or anything but she posted about how upset she was that day.
He also remembered blocking her on every social media to avoid having to deal with added stress.
Call it selfish and uncaring but he felt he had to look out for himself.
But that night it came back to bite him in the butt, seeing how fed up she was with him and hadn't even been ten minutes.
"So, you're seeing him...like dating?" He asked, glancing at his drink and playing with the condensation outside the glass.
Trina gave him a look like he just asked if two times two really equaled four. She furrowed her brows and nodded.
"Yes but what's that got to do with you? Why do you wanna know?"
"C'mon, 'rina, you're not serious with that guy, right?"
"Didn't I just tell you I was? And who are you to ask about anyone I'm seeing?"
"I mean, it's only been a couple of months since we've, y'know, last hung out." Calum half chuckled, realizing that its actually been roughly six months since they've had a thing.
And now she's waltzing around with some random.
Trina placed a hand to her chest and sighed dramatically.
"Oh, okay, I see." She leaned in, nodding. "I'm supposed to mope around and be miserable by myself because the dude I confessed my feelings to dropped me like a piece of trash in the dumpster the moment he left me in a hotel room in a city I knew nothing about to tour around the world in his stupid band. Is that about right, baby boy?" Trina seethed with anger, all the emotions she felt a few months ago resurfacing. Her volume turned up a few notches and had it not been for the already loud music, people would've stared.
A drop of guilt into dripped Calum's veins and circulated throughout his body.
This was what he wanted to avoid, the consequences of his actions.
The drama and emotions.
But he was watching it unfold right before him on the day he was supposed to be relaxing.
He was at lost for words. "Trina--I'm sorry--I didn't m--"
"--mean to hurt me? Like you cared?! I didn't get a phone call or anything when you left, not even a text to explain things." Trina's attention moved to the second floor when she caught sight of a familiar face. "You were selfish...just like you are now. Your ego and pride is probably eating you up, knowing I found someone worthy of my time, huh?" She looked back at the boy, shaking her head in disappointment.
Calum had nothing to say, she was right.
She downed the rest of her drink and fixed her dress, giving him one last look before she headed to the seating area.
"Go back to your VIP, baby boy. You always told me about the life you wanted to live," She turned away from him. "Now go live it."
And with that, she strutted over to the other guy, whose name was like a thorn to his skin, leaving him at the bar.
