Calum took the walk of shame as he climbed back upstairs to the second level.

His eyes not once meeting back with the couple on the couch in the level below, again.

His pride wouldn't allow him to.

With every step to the VIP section, a word that Trina spoke replayed in his head. And soon he was reminded of what she said to him not too long ago.

Calum hated how selfish he was being. He didn't want to just leave her high and dry but he didn't know what else to do.

He couldn't just be with the girl when he was many, many miles away everyday.

At the time, he felt he was being considerate, sparing her the heartbreak by not reacting when she told him how she felt, and then just leaving.

That way, since the feelings were fresh, she could easily get over it and move on.

He felt it was beneficial for the girl.

But it took him to hear what he did, from Trina's mouth, to realize he was just looking out for himself.

He was being selfish, as she said.

And now, he had to sit up in VIP, somewhere he always wanted to be since his band formed, surrounded by 'important' people, while his--Trina hooked up with someone who wasn't him, right underneath him.

He sighed as he re-entered the small section, plopping down in the same spot he was in before.

Roy noticed and scooted closer to the somber boy.

"Dude, everything good?" He asked, concern in his eyes as he watched Calum shake his head.

"Nah--" He paused when he didn't see the girl that was once on Roy's lap. "Where's your girl?" He raised a brows, pointing at his lap.

Roy raises his brows then snorted, waving a dismissive hand. "Nah, she was just a bird who wanted to social climb." He shrugged as if it didn't bother him.

Calum let out a breathy chuckle then sighed immediately after because wow, he wasn't in the mood to laugh.

Not even for Roy.

The older boy, Roy, threw an arm around his friend and made a sympathetic face.

"So it was that bad?"

"Yeah. I'm surprised I didn't get a drink thrown in my face." Calum half joked, actually very happy she wasn't in that kind of mood.

Roy chuckled lightly, shaking his head and squeezing his shoulder. "Yeah, me too." And that made Calum laugh loudly despite the fact that those words were against him.

Roy actually thought it'd be worse. Something close to Trina almost getting kicked out because she caused a scene.

To be honest, Roy thought his friend got off easy. He only got to see her with some other dude, which was nothing to what he actually deserved.

But he wasn't going to kick him while he was already down.

Instead he poured him a shot and offered it to him.

"Oh, yeah. What happened to fine Dinah?" Roy remembered, glancing back at Calum as he poured the liquid close to the top of the small glass.

Calum scoffed and sighed as he shook his head. "She just went off and left. Thank goodness." He rolled his eyes, thinking back on how she exploded before dramatically walking away.

Roy chuckled as he gave the boy his shot, downing his before Calum did.

As he brought the rim of the glass to his mouth, his eyes found a certain someone on the dance floor.
